MEG RECORDS has found great success in recent years, working with the Award Winning, Singer, Songwriter, Producer Tom MacLear and his Nashville/Songwriting project since 2010.

MacLear's latest project of MACLEAR & WATERS has earned critical notoriety with nationwide radio play and numerous awards from their self-titled CD released in 2013.
NEW YEARS EVE, 2015 will mark the release of Tom MacLear’s final release with MACLEAR & WATER entitled: ‘BETTER THAN YOU’ nationwide on U.S. AC/Top40 and Country Radio.

MACLEAR & WATERS have won awards from the HMMA's and NEW MUSIC WEEKLY in Best Country Song and Best Crossover Duo and were nominated in 6 other categories. They enjoyed 12 Top#10 radio spin rankings in the U.S. Radio STS Reports in AC/Top 40 and Country Radio Charts during the 2014 radio season with their two other radio singles: 'SOMEDAY' and 'ALL THAT YOU DREAM.'

The end of MACLEAR & WATERS marks the end of Tom MacLear's 'New Nashville Songwriting Session Work' initially entitled: 'ONE MORE RODEO', when MacLear was signed to Clive Davis's Arista/ Nashville in 2010. Since then, he released his HMMA & NEW MUSIC WEEKLY award nominated summer hit 'SWEET SUMMER DAYS' in 2013 by MACLEAR & QUINN, which was shortly followed by 'ONLY ONE FOR ME' which both found a collective 7 top #10 U.S. radio spin rankings.
MEG Records will promote 'BETTER THAN YOU' through February when Tom MacLear travels to Tennessee, where he will do Live Radio promotions and close his road trip in Nashville (Feb 24-27th) with a full band concert performance at the famous 'CROSSROADS on BROADWAY' during the 'NATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC RADIO SEMINAR'.

Tom MacLear is a living legacy of the Southern California Country Rock boom of the 70's & 80's. MacLear was one of those gifted writers, performers and session artists who toured or recorded for such legendary colleagues: ‘The Flying Burrito Brothers’, ‘The Hot Band’, Vince Gill’s & Byron Berline’s ‘Sundance’, Rusty Young and ‘Poco’, ‘The Dirt Band’ and numerous others.

Since those early days, MacLear proceeded to have one of those prolific, quiet careers that very few true musicians have – not the guys on the marquee, but the ones who write the songs, write out the set lists, mentor the stars on the marquee, play the hooks’ and licks that people whistle in the shower or on a street corner, and occasionally venture out with a record or project of his or her own.
