Christina Marie


Chriatina Marie is a former student of Whitefield Fishponds Community School in the city of Bristol. College student Christina. She is 20 years old and lives in Bristol. On her blind audition of the U.K. Voice 2014 episode 1, 11th January she sang the Whitney Houston ballad “I Have Nothing”. 

Christina Marie, 20, auditioned for the show to follow in the footsteps of her mum Susan, who used to take her to pubs and clubs in the city when she was trying to make it big. 
It was the first time Christina had auditioned for a talent show, but she had previously sung at school when she attended Whitefield Fishponds Community School, which is now Bristol Metropolitan Academy. 
After beginning a course in English at City of Bristol College, Christina realised the only way she was going to be able to help her mum with money, and eventually move out of home, was to get a full-time job. 
She undertook a business administration apprenticeship and got a job as a legal secretary. 

But Christina's real passion was always for singing and in September she auditioned for The Voice. She decided to take a risk and sing the huge Whitney Houston ballad I Have Nothing, hoping that one of the four judges would turn around. 

She told the Bristol Post: "It was a great experience, but was quite daunting. 

"The chairs the judges sit in are huge and when you're on stage you can't see anything. The audience were brilliant – very responsive.

Christina is a newly emerging artist who is dedicated to making quality music while exploring her musical limits without being confined to one specific genre. She draws her inspiration from things she may be going through as well as her favorite songs from the past. Christina aims to make music that the world can listen and relate to so that she may be an inspiration to others. 

Christina started recording during her senior year of college at Mississippi State University and though it may have been some of the worst days in her life as she describes, Christina still found a little time to write and record her feelings about graduating from college in her song "Class Of" which can be streamed free on Soundcloud. 
Christina hopes to give her audience a deeper understanding of who she is and just what makes her such an unique vocalist and artist.
