Rosalía Vila (born 1993), known professionally as Rosalía, is a Spanish singer from Baix Llobregat. She has worked as a duo with Juan "Chicuelo" Gómez at the 2013 Panama International Film Festival and at the Festival Grec de Barcelona for the contemporary dance work De Carmen. In 2013 she participated in the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) Conference in New York, and was the lead voice in the culmination of the Año Espriu 2014 at the Palau de la Música. In 2015 she collaborated with La Fura dels Baus on a show premiered in Singapore. She was the opening act for Miguel Poveda, accompanied by Alfredo Lagos (es), at the International Music Festival of Cadaqués, and also at the 2016 Jerez Festival. She worked with Rocío Márquez (es) on the presentation of her album El Niño at Primavera Sound 2015. In 2016 she presented the album Los Ángeles, a joint project with the producer and musician Raül "Refree" Fernández.
In 2018, after releasing a series of videos on her YouTube channel, she presented her new project entitled El Mal Querer, which would be co-produced with El Guincho, who would also participate in the composition of some themes. The Catalan artist's new album would feature contributions from artists such as C. Tangana (es), famous for having made some collaborations with her before the publication of her first album.
On 30 May of that year she released the first single of this second album, titled "Malamente".
