DJ Snake was announced to be working on a collaboration with Diplo, originally slated to debut in 2014; it eventually released in 2015 as the single "Lean On" in collaboration with MØ and Diplo's Major Lazer. Released through Atlantic Records, her critically acclaimed studio album Invasion of Privacy (2018), on which the first two songs were included, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and broke several streaming records. That year, Time included her on their annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Among her number of accolades, she has received two Grammy Award nominations, a Billboard Music Award, two BET Awards, and three MTV Video Music Awards.
