Biography
Susanne Sundfør is a Norwegian singer/songwriter who was born and grew up in Haugesund. She currently lives and studies in Bergen. She has played several gigs in Oslo and Haugesund as well as a concert in 2005 with Tom McRae. In february 2006 she was featured in the Norwegian music business festival by:Larm in Tromsø.

Susanne Sundfør masters both jazz and classical music, and she has developed her own musical style with elements from both these genres. She is often compared to songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Carole King. Sundfør is also inspired by Jeff Buckley, Radka Toneff, Ane Brun and Thomas Dybdahl.

Her lyrics often deals with personal subject matters such as "Africa, America", "Time out, time", "It's all gone tomorrow" or contemporary issues ("Opium").

In march 2007 she released her self-titled album "Susanne Sundfør", which received great critics.

She won the price for "best female vocalist" at Spellemannsprisen 2008, and was nominated in the category "year's newcomer" aswell.

Sundfør's second album is entitled "The Brothel", and was be released on March 15, 2010. The first single, which also is the titletrack, had premiere on Norwegian radios on January 28th 2010. The single received excellent reviews from several newspapers in Norway, giving it 6/6.
