could be the wysiwig toolbar
try going to your options page
http://top40-charts.com/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions
scroll down to "Message Editor Interface" and select the Standard Editor
we're using the beta version of the upcoming vBulletin 3 so some bugs will probably exist...

First of all I am sorry for the troubles you have using our site. Some things works, some others not yet. We are not change only the comments with forums but also many other things (as 'menu', SQL database, etc). Thanks for being patient with new situation and if you have to notice something 'strange', please report it to us. We need your feedback for improving much faster Top40 Charts.
XxsuziexX, thanks, I have fix the problem with popups (I suppose!!!) :)

Quick question:
What is the rule regarding posting midweek charts? Can we post, as long as there are no sales figures included?
rmbod

Another question.
Although my clock is showing GMT London time, it is 3.5 hrs fast. How do I amend this to show accurate time in UK?
Paris
24 December 2003, 00:24
Rmbod,
you can't post 'midweeks' info with sales figures - it is obvious.

The path after you logon forums is:
User CP -->
Edit Options (http://top40-charts.com/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions) -->
Date & Time Options

since visiting this site an hour ago and becoming a member in the record time of 3/4's of an hour 118 popups have been blocked.... but due to the determination of the goddamn advertising stalkers about 20 got through.....
i just wanted to join so i could inform you that i'll never be back at this site again and you can tell your sponsors to shove their f****ng products up their f****ng ****s.........
it could've been a damn good site otherwise...
goodbye

jeez... just posted that message and it jumped to 124 blocked........
thank you google.......
MarkG
30 January 2004, 09:38
if you didnt use google you would see that the "blocked popups" are just windows that are opened and closed(because an ad was already shown to the visitor previously) instantly without the user noticing anything

well i've broken my promise not to return here again but hell.. it happens
i've allowed popups to this site so i can see that nothing happens... well you're close... nothing happens at all for a ****** long time.... one actual popup did come up but i didn't notice it because i was staring blankly at the little progrees bar at the bottom of the page.....
your explanation of these events seems plausible... but i gotta ask "why..??" what has an add shown to a previous visitor got to do with me? i might not get to see the popup but it sure as hell seems to be taking up a hell of a lot of resources not showing me..!!
MarkG

what has an add shown to a previous visitor got to do with me? not a previous visitor, but YOU! :)
a popup was shown fully to you once(this info is kept with a cookie on your pc as well as on the server of the ad company), so the next popup closes up immediately after starting to load as it checks for such a thing
thanks for braking your promise :)

Hey Mr. Administrator - why did you separate the Rap/HipHop from R&B and Soul?
This gotta get together again - please. It's taking too much time jumping from forum to forum, this doesn't need a own forum, because it's all in one

Hey Mr. Administrator - why did you separate the Rap/HipHop from R&B and Soul?
Tobee, the problem was the speed of the site. With this way we are trying to improve the HD speed - some of its parts. If we keep only one forum, there are many posibilities for 'crashes' of the system. Yes, the music style is ONE, but technical reasons are responsible for this separation.
Also, you are going to see many changes to the forum within next days. We are going to add a 'personal chart' forum and merge many others. If you have any idea or you want something special, drop it here please!

If you introduce some new 'things' on this site within a few days, is it an idea to make an chat-option in this site? We only can contact eachother with a PM (Personal Message) and that costs so much time!!
And why is it that If I see who's online there are 4,5 members online and the rest are guests!! Is it because they are not logged in???????
THERE ARE OVER THE 7000 MEMBERS. In my opinion many many!!! Make some noize about this site and the number of members will grow!!!
Good luck!!!

Very good idea! We are going to check every option for users communication within Top40 Charts. if this doesn't affects the speed or other technical issues for surfing Top40 then it will be done. Thanks.

When I typ this message the number of members is 7897 and it will still grow is my opinion. I'm proud of the people behind the scene at this site and I'm proud of the people who gave us the input to read some interesting things everytime we visit www.top40-charts.com!!!! Come on people let's get on with it and make some very hard noize for this site!!!

The answer is YES, but the specific time is unknown, yet. According to MarkG calculations about the new Top40 Charts features, the CHAT will be launched within summer (probably in July/August ) ;)
