after this sunday's top 40, kelly and ozzy (at no7) and the darkness (at no10) were both less than 2000 copies behind the song ahead of them in the year-to-date sales chart. now both records have sold over 2000 copies since the chart was compiled on saturday night, so will now be at 6 and 9 in the YTD chart. however, does the official 2003 YTD chart only include sales up to saturday, ie up to the last day of the last full chart week of 2003, or will the chart from wes on the 1st include the sales from sunday 28th-weds 31st, thus having the osbournes at no6 and the darkness at no9 in the end of year chart. anyone know?
i think this also happened in 1999 with the spice girls and chef - radio 1 announced them at 14 and 12 i think, but i have seen them at 8 and 9 on other charts of 1999. anyone know which is correct?

Hitstastic, I have no idea whats going on this week, I couldn't find any Top 75s anywhere - no update on Dotmusic or Chartfreaks, nor have we got any YTD charts. What is going on?!?

Radio 1 will have the year to date singles and albums transmitted between 4:00pm to 8:00pm on New Years Day

Radio 1...with Wes!!! Humph!!! Is this the Wes that played Gareth Gates in place of Dido at no. 26 last Sunday. And announced that Michelle McManus 'All This Time' was released this week??? Besides, being New Years Day I'll end up doing family stuff and miss the countdown - which really doesn't bother me - we are talking about Radio 1 after all. In fact, Wes will go on air and say "we start off with the fortieth biggest selling single of the year" and play 'Where Is The Love?' Hmmm!!!
