Paramount Pictures' new release "Mean Girls" debuted atop North America box office over the weekend, according to studio estimates released Sunday.
The film, which tells about a clique of high school students, was expected to rake in 25 million US dollars in the three-day weekend, according to box office tracker Exhibitor Relations.

The comedy "13 Going on 30" was third with earnings of about 10million dollars, followed by the openings of "Laws of Attraction,"with 7 million dollars, and "Godsend," with 6.9 million dollars.
