Brad Pitt and Eric Bana starrer 'Troy' is all set to win the box office battle.
The movie is steadily climbing the popularity charts. However, critics have cautioned that such movies with grand budgets require some extra punch at the box office as a cover up for production costs.
According to imdb, the 200-million-dollar budget movie is expected to do a business of 45.6 million dollars domestically and 54.8 million dollars overseas.
Though the movie is already ahead of a similar epic 'Gladiator' and is not facing any stiff competition from other recent releases, critics feel that it might just have to do a little more to earn enough business.
The top ten movies for this week are:
1. Troy, $45.6 million
2. Van Helsing, $20.1 million
3. Mean Girls, $10.1 million
4. Breakin' All the Rules, $5.3 million
5. Man on Fire, $5.2 million
6. 13 Going on 30, $4.2 million
7. New York Minute, $3.7 million
8. Laws of Attraction, $2 million
