Mr Blobby was number 1 this time ten years ago.But after watching the worst number 1's ever on VH1 i wondered do you think it is the 7th worst number 1 in History.

Not really ,a lot of kids at the time loved it.
The channel 4 programme was not just number ones eg Birdie Song,Agadoo,Fast Food Song and The Cheeky Song were all number 2s, if I remember rightly.
It was a bit of a fix because only 1 song per artist was included.
Black Lace could have filled up a lot more positions with their naff tunes !
He said VH1 - on VH1's Worst Number 1s, it got beaten by Bombalurina 'Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini' #1, Spitting Image 'The Chicken Song' #2 (surprisingly not in top 100 on C4!), Man Utd 'Come On You Reds' #3, Renée & Renato 'Save Your Love', Goombay Dance Band 'Seven Tears'

I agree!!! Mr. Blobby was harmless fun - or is that harmful fun??? All the five were UK no. 1 hits, so I'm guessing this chart was based on the 100 worst UK no. 1 singles then??? I wouldn't know - I never saw it. Shame if it was, because some of the worst songs that never made no. 1 would be Cartoons 'Witch Doctor', Lolly 'Viva La Radio', DJ Otzi 'Doo Wah Diddy, and The Tweets 'Birdie Song' which still gives me nightmares!!!
