The Princess of Pop follows up the phenomenal hit 'Toxic' with a music box-like ballad which talks about needing someone and visualizes suicidal attempts (catch the controversial video on MTV). I really don't like this track from the first time I heard it from the 'In The Zone' album but I think it somehow grew in my music self.
I think there are better songs on the album which are worthy to be released as singles rather than this one. The Matrix produced 'Shadow' is more profound that 'Everytime' amongst the ballads from the album. Last of all, Britney is preferable and seems to do good in upbeat tracks than her ballads.
