Hi, just found this site, looks pretty cool. I play in a band that is half Mexican and half gringo. We are in need of updating our song book, most, if not all, of the songs we perform are 5 to 15 years old. We play mostly cumbia, norteno, banda, merengue, quebradita, zapatiado. Is there such a thing as a top40 cumbia list, top40 norteno list, etc? Suggestions on songs or artists/bands I should consider? Our band consists of - two keyboardists, bass, drums, tenor/alto sax/clarinet (one person, myself), two trumpets, and trombone. We do our own transcriptions/arrangements from the cd's for the horn parts. I have bought a few new latin band cd's, but just need some pointers for where to go for the types of music we play.
