NEXT WEEKS CHART REVIEW
Next week sees the release of Michelle McManus debut single ‘All This Time’ winner of ITV’s TV series Pop Idol, this looks like gonna be the first No.1 of 2004. But my favourite single of the week has to be the Motorcycle hit ‘As The Rush Comes’, if this single was released a week later it would certainly have been a dead cert for No.1, but it looks like its gonna end up second best, other new entries in the Top 10 for Kelis, Boogie Pimps, and Sean Paul ft. Sasha. Top 40 new entries for Basement Jaxx ft. Lisa Kekaula, Matt Darey ft. Marcella Woods, Flip & Fill ft. Junior, REM, and Stacie Orrico.
For all single reviews on the above new releases visit this link http://top40-charts.com/news.php?nid=6270

Please use this thread to post the album Top 40 Chart, if anyone knows what the Top 40 album chart is, I like to keep both charts together.

With the exception of Michelle McManus, It looks like another weak week for releases. The pop idol song is nothing special, but it will get to #1. The interesting thing will be whether it sells much more than 100K. Personally I don't think it will.

i think about 300k for michelle this week, though it's been well well down on publicity compared to will's song (probly cos xmas came between the final and the release). but seeing as viewing for the final wasn't down by much, and oting was up, i can't see it being a big flop.

I was sondering why the Stereophonics has re-entered at #25 with their 2nd album. I found out that it is on sale for £4.99 in HMV, that probably has something to do with it! I've just checked and No ANgel is on sale for £8.99 in HMV and £6.99 in Virgin. That might explain that!
