Please do not post any sales whatesoever.
Give it a title, make sure its not related to midweeks
for example: Psst. take a look in here, or
a anagram: Kim Weeds
As from next week only two people can post the midweeks, and that post goes to anthonywaite and Good Delta please state your source of information. As all the reliable info seems to be from anothonywaite/Good Delta.
Just post the placings, the sales factor is important not to be posted. I know its sad, because we are the buying public that buys the music that makes the chart, and we people like to know how the single is progressing in sales, but rules have to be followed, OCC set these rules, I only have the best interest for this website.

Thanx Mikey! Just I came back to England from homeland Italy, and I want to ask you something: the new UK singles chart is combiled with the old method yet, or OCC is including now 'legal' downloads, airplay, etc? If they includes downloads, then maybe they 'll stop to 'hunt' midweeks on internet :-)

Downloads are not inorporated with the singles chart, what they have decided to do is create a download chart on its own, which will not affect the singles whatsoever.
Secondly Airplay with sales come into effect in March, at the moment its business as usual.

Hey, Mikey!
Why you're the first person who's talking about that! Where is the official announcement from OCC?
Nothing on magazines, nothing on Tv, nothing on radio...
Explain, please!
Then, if they're putting sales & airplay together then the world's greatest chart who has been always compiled only from sales looses it's sense.
OF course it's important to know sales relation to airplay. As I know in States it's like 1 play in radio is the same as 100 singles sold.
Then, what's your opinion Mikey - will there be any singles in the shops by the time of 2006 or only EP's will survive. And how the chart will look starting from march - in my opinion there won't be any new entry's in top 10 at all. And what about Radio 1 - the only chart compiled only from the singles you buy! :)

A further question is, which radio stations will account for airplay points scoring? If it is only Radio One then this will significantly distort the singles chart and the charts could actually be controlled by the people who select the Radio One playlists. Could this create the possibility for corruption and bribes from leading record companies in order to ensure that their artists appear on the playlists? A worrying time for the UK top 40 singles chart.
yeh i remember this cropping up a few months ago, but it seems to have changed a bit. what are they doing now? 3 charts - download, sales and sales+airplay? or two - download and sales+airplay? if it's the latter it's a complete **** up and the demise of the chart. they should at leat wait a bit to see if things pick up for sales.
don't know how many michelle is on this week, but assuming it's a lot, then 6 out of the last 7 weeks have seen very good sales, with no1 selling 85k +...hardly suggesting a need for a change
