why some countries have the top20 and other the top40?
There are contries with big sales like Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Ireland that have an official top 40. For Exemple in Italy and Ireland there is the official top75 and in Switzerland the top100. Why for these countries is published only the top20 and not a top 40 like for the other countries?

It's quite strange to see a top40 for a country like Ukraine, with very low sales and then a top 10 from Taiwan, one of the Asiatic countries with the highest sales!

What about new charts?
I've links to many official sales charts not yet published here... if someone of the staff is intersted I'll post that link here soon...

Anyway with or without new charts this is the best music site on the net!

NightyGeko.it, the answear is hidden on music/marketing trends: the music interest is leaving from Central Europe and goes to Eastern Europe, or Asia. Sales in Italy or Swiss are a big joke in consumer terms.
For all the C.European area after the German market is the chaos. We choose to present a smaller amount of songs for some countries or bigger for some others only for the "signification" of them on the World Sales - according to IFPI.
(Taiwan has a great percentrage of piracy - similar to Ukraine or Russia which are called 'emerging' markets - and the biggest Asian sales are coming from the Japanese market).
Italy has big population (60m), but the level of actual cd-singles sales is similar to New Zealand (4m) or Holland (9m)!
