What do you guys think of Shannon Noll?

jesse1982
28 October 2004, 04:31
Hey Princessrach,
I think Shannon Noll needs to "brush up" his talents.
He needs to step out from his horizons and embrace the other music genre.
I see him as a Robbie wannabe-"thats what most people think"
I hope u dont take it as an offence but that's what i think of him personally.
Paulini & Guy are doing much better than him[talent & popularity[sales]
:D

Hi there Jesse, I agree with you that Shannon needs to be a bit more versatile to go further in the music indusrty, but his sales are much better than both Paulini and Guy.

Hey there everyone. Is there anyone out there who is not just into this rap and rnb bullshit. If anyone out there are into good aussie musicians like Pete Murray, Powderfinger, You Am I, Grinspoon or any other great Aussie bands let me know. Those ****** rappers probably can't even play a musical instrument.

Bring back REAL MUSIC...!

Heya All,
Brando1977- refering to ur previous message quote" rap and rnb bullshit" and " those ****** rappers probably can't even play a musical instrument" :(

I'm sure some of those stuff will offend some of music lovers who enjoy that kinda music!
I love RnB, great artistes like Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Aaliyah, looking at Mariah Carey,
Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Ashanti, Beyonce, R. Kelly, Usher, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige...etc[the list goes on and on]
These people have touched many souls with their music, which you are refering as bullshit!
Believe me their voices and their talent move the world, and they can play music instruments, some have produced and write their own songs!

If you believe Australian music is real, so is RnB/Hip-hop/Urban/Groove/Soul!!!!
Everyone has a choice to listen to what they want/ they like, but you cant degrade/talk **** about it either!

australian music is a lot different from any other country in the world. I also think that shannon noll has a great voice and most people like him more than guy,and also his fans are all aged like you really would not find a 34 - 70 year old who would be realy in to pop music but shannon noll has a wider range of all aged fans

~~see ya!~~

I am from the UK, but I was in Australia on a Gap year at the end of 2003 and for most of 2004.

I can see that most people have chosen non Australian artists as their favourites.

I find this quite shocking as I found Australian artists to be fantastic when I was over there. I thought the music industry would be over-run with US and UK artists (to a degree it is), but I was happy to see lots of good Aussie talent in the charts.

My favourite songs from my time in Oz were:

Powderfinger - Sunsets
Missy Higgins - Scar
Jet - Look what you've done
The Waifs - Lighthouse
Pete Murray - So beautiful
Spiderbait - Black betty
Eskimo Joe - The sea
Something 4 Kate - Deja Vu

I also quite liked Guy and Shannon's first efforts but that only because they got so much airplay that they were drilled into my head and now I can't forget them!

Aussie artists should be a lot bigger throughout the world as they are fantastic. I have no idea why Powderfinger aren't one of the biggest bands in the world, they have the talent, Vulture Street is one of my best albums.
