Excellent information. Michelle sold a lot less copies than I expected. In comparison, David Sneddon sold 250K this time last year. 5 million people voted for Michelle to win, but only a small percentage bought the single. So does this mean the public have finally had enough of Reality Pop stars.

GeeNy do you have the sales for the Top 10 or 40 singles/albums of 2003?

yeh, rmbod, but david sneddon sold 111k in his first week this time last year, around 250k in total - i think michelle will do better than that, albeit probably not much, making her sale around a sixth of will's

rmbod: at first, single sales are dying... And I think that's only normal if you're putting a 2-track cd out for 3.99. Then again, sorry, but Michelle looks like ugly fat chicken. (it hurts and I have to be a gentleman, but it's true). Didn't saw any episode of the Pop Idol in my whole life , thanks to british satellite revolution wich means - if you're not in UK, you can't watch out programmes! But what I know is strong and proved fact - everybody everywhere loves beautiful girls in pop music, not terrible mistakes wich Michelle actually is.
Anthonywaite: so, and what about if I have?

To GeeNY how much has Atomic Kitten - Ladies Night (album) sold in total?
p.s i think it is wrong to comment on michelle cos of her appearance, it dosen't mean she shouldn't be given a chance!

I'm not the kind of person that likes to criticise the way people look, but in my opinion they haven't even made any effort to make Michelle look attractive or glamorous in the video! And whether its right or wrong image means a lot in the world of music. I doubt "All this time" will sell 200K in total, probably 45K this week (or less) before a rapid drop out of the top ten.

Even tough the beautiful singer are usually the less talented... Havenīt heard Michelle yet, but certainly being fat is the reason why her sales are not so high. Christina and Britney proved us that singer donīt need talent to sell, they need to be beautiful and make scandalls in the media!

i can't see anyone deposing michelle this week, and to say she's sell under 200k, which would be one of the lowest no1 sales of all time, after the same opening week as, for example, Leave Right Now, seems a bit ott!
GeeNY
13 January 2004, 09:47
Sorry, Lord Anthony, i thought you asked about every chart of 2003...
Well, to be honest, i didn't got year-end chart with sales figures, nope. I also didn't got the last chart of the year, becouse of public hollidays of course, so I can't also post Total sales from that one...
Sorry...
+ atomic Kitten sold 404,766 copies to date.
++ waiting for kim weeds my dear's... :)

Ok, I agree that Michelle will remain #1 for another week but sales will fall significantly to around 50K. Perhaps estimated total sales of 220K would be more realistic.

Are u sure? they went platinum in 4 weeks and it's been released for 8 weeks. so it's only sold 100,000 in 5 weeks? 3 of them being xmas weeks.
thanx anyway.
how much has britney - me against the music and in the zone (album) sold?

Next time ask this question before asking me anything... ;)

Greeny, What are the album totals for Westlifes unbreakable and Mel C northern star please? Thanks.
Hassan
13 January 2004, 16:30
of course i dont think u r producing this info urself. i just find it hard to believe after all the weekly sales for ladies night it's total was about 500,000. i just thought maybe ur source was not accurate for that album. i merely asked u a question and u snapped!
where do u get this info from?
do u know how much britney - me against the music and in the zone has sold?
thanks

13 January 2004, 16:42
GeeNY, do you regret being the source of all sales now that you're getting requests right, left and centre? And is this the reason for your 'apparent' snapping? It would drive me crazy anyhow! Thank God i'm useless, i can't even get some of the midweeks right!
rio
14 January 2004, 07:34
guys! listen! this aint the dot forum where poeple seem to have all day just to post sales info! geeNY posts the single and album chart sales weekly, which is what we want most, and gave us a bonus this week. lets just leave it at that! if we ask for too much, we'll end up with nothing!
GeeNY
14 January 2004, 11:44
Well, everyone wants everything... That's true Rio. In last few days it feels like everyone now wants to know accurate sales for their favourite artists...
To be honest I can't understand where's the point of that?
Like, I have professional interests in this forum, it's kind of cheating OCC, but that's the only way for me how to get informed about midweeks. Actually, i've never noticed before, that sales info is so important to all of you. But, anyway... keep smiling :)
And Lord Anthony - im not an englishman. Not quite european too (eastern european more and that's big difference), tough my roots are from Denmark. So it has to be like this - my stupid little jokes for you only looks like a snapping. Im not taking anything serious :)
Im nice lad, btw. ok STOP!
