I really am a big fan of Spanish music. I like Paulina Rubio, Chenoa, Shakira, etc but I have downloaded most of Shakira's and Paulina's songs. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me any spanish songs they really like? I am always looking for new songs!

Hola,
Here's the first song that came to mind: "A Dios le Pido" by Juanes. It's one of my favorites. (He also sings "La Unica" which is also pretty good, but those are just about the best.) Do you like Julio or Enrique Iglesias? They have some really nice ones I could recommend. ( Not the usual ones you hear, like "Hero"...)
Also, if you like songs that just make you wanna get up and dance, "Ave Maria" and "Corazon Latino" by David Bisbal are really good! You can also try "Africa Bamba" by Carlos Santana.
If you like love/inspirational songs, Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli have some good ones, too. (Andrea, of course, is Italian, so I don't know what you think about that, but his spanish songs are nice.)
I can give you a little list if you want, let me know what you think.
Chao,
Carol

P.S.
I'm assuming you meant that you like songs "in spanish", not just spanish songs from Spain... I got a little confused since the post is in the "Europe" forum, but neither Paulina nor Shakira are actually Spanish... but if all you want are songs from Spain, let me know.

You could try Ha Ash - Estés donde estés, María Isabel - Antes muerta que sencilla, Amaral- Sin tí no soy nada, Café Tacuba - Eres, Julieta Venegas - Andar Conmigo or any other of her recient songs, also anything by Alejandro Sanz (Tú no tienes alma, Regálame la silla donde te esperé, El alma al aire, etc), anything by Juanes, or even anything by Marc Anthony (No me conoces, Y ahora quién, etc)

Hi.. my name is Steve, and i just recently returned from studying abroad in spain. while there, i got to spend a lot of times at the clubs and bars, and fell in love with the music. i was able to find most of the songs that i heard in spain, but the song i liked the most, and probably heard the most, i have no idea what it is called. i remember seeing a video for it once.. i cant remember who sings it, but i do remember for some reason thinking that the name of the song had a "Maria" in it.. and i think the last part of the name of the song started with a "P" like 'Maria P....." something something...
i just remember the beat of the song goes like, "Eh ehh ehh ehh ehh ehh ehh ehh ehh ehh, eh ehh ehh ehh ehh ehh..." and then it repeats like that.. sorry i know that doesnt help too much, but this has been bugging me forever.. any ideas?
ps- i think the singer says, "my maria, my maria.."

Hola Steve,
Umm, yeah that's pretty vague. Do you remember if it was a male/female artist that sings it? I figure it's male since the song's about a girl, but just in case... :) And what did the music sound like, techno?

You might recognize some of the Spanish radio stations available on this site. Also, you might want to try the Spanish message board or the Spain chat in websites such as the one above. You might find it more helpful to ask someone who lives in there.... :)
Espero que te alla gustado vivir en España.
Meanwhile, I will keep on looking and let you know if I find anything.

I think the song you refer to is called "Mariacaipirinha" by Carlinhos Brown, a hit in spain from a portuguese singer.
