Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out - #2
2-Play featuring Raghav & Jucxi - So Confused - #7
HIM - Funeral Of Hearts - #9
Beyoncé - Me, Myself And I - #11
Liberty X - Everybody Cries - #14
Metallica - The Unnamed Feeling EP - #39
Any Studt and Stacie Orrico are currently between #20-#30
In the Album Chart - Dido is midweek #1 (again!) Alistair Griffin is in at 7, and Tears for Fears re-enter the charts at 32 with 'Tears Roll Down: Greatest Hits 1982 - 1992'.
The first three at the top of the list are artists i've never heard of and they are currently higher that the expected top 10 artists for next week!

I am extremely surprised about the midweeks. I did not expect Franz Ferdinand to be at 2. Come on people. Buy Amy Studt, Beyonce & Liberty X. Also Gareth Gates next single will be All Cried Out. Even though I have not heard this song I think that it will flop.

Correct Midweeks from a very reliable source, so the first set are correct, these were emailed to me this evening. From now when you retrieve midweeks could you please state your source. Hassan's midweeks are false, just looked back in an earlier thread, and it seems someone posted false midweeks a couple of weeks ago, after looking and checking, all midweeks by Hassan are false, so in future please name your source of information.

I hope not. 'Ver Kids' were going mad for that Franz Ferdinand single at the club I went to at the weekend.

Good, would love them to be #1 on Sunday. Can't see it, but fingers crossed for top 5 at least.

WELL, remember how Gary Jules scored at christmas. And no-one predicted a thing. That situation, imho, means that pop-singles buying public don't want to bay ****** 2 track singles, while at indie scene there's allways freaks who loves the Ep's, 7' & 12' lp's and they're doing this already for some 30 years. If the indie single can take up the radio airplay (Virgin & Radio1 plays Take Me Out everytime), if there is a chance to appeal for different audience not only for keen FF fans, than single goes straight in the top of the charts. It doesn't make difference how FF will score by sunday - 1,2,3 or 4. It's clear - this will be the highest chart new entry for act who's produced by garage rock revival movement. And it makes me to be totally sure that Scissor Sisters mega catchy indie-electro-clash-mash-rock-pop tune Comfortably Numb will be the official number one after 9 days.
btw, Hope Of The States guitar player's suicide makes me sad. I saw them at the Glastonbury last year and they made one of the finest performances during the weekend. RIP

I didn't know about the Hope of the States guitarist's suicide. They were hotly tipped as the next big thing, hopefully they'll be able to carry on and be successful in the way Feeder have been.
Also, the Scissor Sister song is excellent. Not sure as to its level of commercial appeal though!
