Okay guys...every week, my media player play count measures how much I have been playing songs that week...and I can put them into a chart like this. The first chart was made on 26th December 2004, and the rest have been weekly, every Sunday after that.
Please comment on my chart, except to **** off my music, because that's totally unecessary...

Yet another bizarre chart from me! The Suga****s fail to hold the top spot for a second week with their 2000 hit 'New year,' however only fall to #6, so do not suffer the 18 place fall from the top spot that pre-decessors like N*E*R*D suffered.
In fact, NERD happen to have one of the biggest chart climbs of this week, by climbing back up to #12 from 30, and have now been on the chart for 4 weeks
(1-19-30-12.)
Other chart climbs include Ciara, with Goodies, which climbs 12 places from last week's #14 space to #2 (14-2.) Britney Spears' Toxic still dominates the top 10, and despite going to its lowest position of #9 last week, is up 6 places this week and goes back into the top 3 at #3. (2-2-3-5-9-3)
Another huge climber is Gwen Stefani with 'Rich Girl' which goes up 17 places to #4 in its second week on the chart, as she has two new entries on the chart, including the claim to the #1 spot. What you waiting for? the debut single from Gwen has entered at #1 on this week's chart!
There aren't just huge climbers, but huge fallers on this week's chart. Britney suffers three of these. Overprotected drops 19 places (7-3-22) Baby one more time goes does 21 places (4-8-29) and Outrageous slides a huge 24 places (2-11-4-28). Also dropping big are Babyshambles, with Killamangiro, going down 17 places (2-6-23) and Anastacia, who drops 20 with 'Welcome to My Truth' (26-9-10-30)
Britney Spears with 'Everytime' and Kelis 'Trick Me' re-enter the chart at 20 and 19 respectively, and the new entries after Gwen at #1 include J-Lo at #7, Evanescence at #8 and Destiny's Child at #9 and #21. Kelly Rowland of Destiny'y Child has a low new entry at #26, and at #27 is the second new entry from Gwen Stefani.
Exiting this week's chart include the long runner 'Comfortably Numb' from Scissor Sisters (17-21-23-22-25-out), and the former number #1 from the Sisters, 'Mary' which ends a five week stint in the Top 20 by sliding from number 19 to number 40

Ciara knocks Gwen off the top
Yep, Ciara has dethroned Gwen Stefani off the top of the chart, with her second entry onto the chart. '1,2 Step' beat off VERY close competition to give Ciara her first number one on the Chart. Ciara beat off Keane, who enter at #2 with Bedshaped, as well as Beyonce with 'Crazy in Love' which gets to number #3, and #4 new entry from Switchfoot 'Dare you to move.' Meanwhile, Gwen doesn't slide very far, she goes down to #5. Other new entries include Ashanti with 'Only U' at #7, as well as Mario at #10, and Alicia Keys at #16, Destiny's Child at #17.
There are four re-entries on this weeks chart. Long runners 'Mary' and 'Comfortably Numb' by the Scissor Sisters go back in at numbers 15 and 30 respectively, as well as Beyonce going back in the chart at #14, with 'Naughty Girl.' Kelis re-enters with Milkshake for a second time at number 25!
Huge movers in this week's chart include Ciara at #20, who goes down 18 places from a prime #2 position. (14-2-20) Maybe the entry of 1, 2 Step shifted the popularity of 'Goodies' to 2nd place. Jennifer Lopez and Evanescence both slide fourteen places from within the top 10 to drop to #21 and #22 respectively. At #26, former number 1 from the Suga****s 'New Year' has gone down 20 places. (1-6-26)
The major climber of the chart goes up 18 places. Gwen Stefani's 'Bubble Pop Electric' goes from #27 to #9 on this week's chart, however 'Rich Girl' has left the chart with a spectacular 27 place fall, going from #4 to #31 (21-4-out)
Also leaving the chart are NERD with 'She wants to move,' which slides 20 places from #12 to #32 (1-19-30-12-out)
Still hanging on in the chart are the only three songs that have been on all seven charts, without leaving, and therefore have a seven week stay time. Some songs that have been on since the first week have left and re-entered (like 'Mary' from the Scissor Sisters) and thesehave just failed where the following have succeded.
Britney Spears 'Toxic' (2-2-3-5-9-3-6) 7 wks
Vanessa Carlton 'A Thousand Miles' (5-3-4-16-12-14-12) 7 wks
Eric Prydz 'Call on me' (10-15-7-12-24-25-29) 7 wks

Hello. This chart really needs some formatting!
This week, Ashanti has stolen the crown from the super Ciara. Ciara, however does not suffer much, only sliding to Number 4. It seems the days of songs going from #1 to #19 are over. But there are still huge drops and climbs in the chart.
Some of the noticable chart drops include Beyonce, who slides 18 places from #3 to #21 with her new entry 'Crazy in Love' last week. (Yeh, it's not exactly new, but i just felt like listening to it.) Michael Gray, a former number 1, also has a big drop, from #8 to #22 (1-2-5-8-22) so far.
Two songs also have big drops that send them totally out of the Top 30. 'Emotion' from Destiny's Child falls from #13 right out of the Top 30 (21-13-out) and Gwen Stefani seems to have a habit of entering songs outside of the top 20, climbing into the top 10, and then falling out of the Top 30, entirely. (Rich Girl, for example went 21-4-out - however re-enters at 26 this week.)
Gwen's song 'Bubble Pop Electric' has gone from 27-9-out this week.
One noticable chart climb this week comes from one of only three songs to have been on every chart so far. 'Call on me' from Eric Prydz has climbed a whopping 18 places from #29, to #11 this week (10-15-7-12-24-25-29-11) The two other songs on the chart that have been on every chart are both doing well this week.
'Toxic' from Britney Spears is a non-mover at #6 (2-2-3-5-9-3-6-6), and 'A Thousand Miles' from Vanessa Carlton jumps back into the Top 10 to #9 (5-3-4-16-12-14-12-9)
Songs that fall out of this week's chart come to a total of 8. As well as Destiny's Child with Emotion, and Gwen with Bubble Pop Electric, as mentioned before, the six artists who exit this week's chart are...
Jennifer Lopez - Get Right (7-21-out)
JoJo - Leave(Get Out) (24-4-20-out-20-16-28-out)
Destiny's Child - Bug a boo (24-13-11-23-out)
Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb (17-21-23-22-25-out-30-out)
Nelly - Over and Over (5-10-27-out)
Joss Stone - You Had Me (15-15-24-out)
In new entries, the highest new entry is again at number 1, and comes from Ashanti with 'Foolish' followed by 'White Houses' from Vanessa Carlton at #2 and No Doubt with 'hella good' at #3. The other new entries in the Top 30 come from Britney Spears and Usher, with a combination of 'Toxic' and 'Yeah!' which goes it at #10. Usher on his own goes in at #20 with 'Caught Up' and Girls Aloud go straight in at #28 with 'wake me up'

Destiny's Child top of the crop
Hello.
This week saw a huuuuuge battle for the number 1 spot between Destiny's Child and Britney Spears, two artists who appear on the chart a lot, but neither of which have had a number 1. This week, Britney loses out again with her new single 'Do Somethin' to Destiny's Child's album track 'Cater 2 u.'
Also in the top 10, The Chemical Brothers bag their first top 30 hit with 'Galvanise' going straight in at #3. The oldest ever song to chart on the Top 30 goes in at #4 this week. Over thirteen years since its release, and Nirvana's 'Smells like Teen Spirit' becomes the first hit for Nirvana on my chart.
The only song in the top 5 that's not a new entry comes from Britney Spears and Usher, who climb five places to #5 with a combination of their two UK Number 1s - Yeah and Toxic.
Other new entries in the chart...
Green Day get their second top 30 hit at #8 with 'American Idiot.' This follows up the #15 hit 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' from December 2004.
Verbalicious goes straight in at #7 with her debut single 'Don't Play Nice'
Beyonce follows up two top ten hits with 'Work it Out' from Austin Powers 3, which just sneaks into the top 10 at #10.
Chav MC Lady Sovereign gets her first Top 30 hit at #14 with 'Random'
Big Chart Movers
There are some huuuuge chart moves in this weeks chart...some of the more noticable include:
Keane fall 21 places with 'Bedshaped' (2-5-26)
Ciara follows the same path, also dropping 21 with '1, 2 Step' (1-4-25)
Switchfoot, Mario, and the Scissor Sisters all drop 15 places to the bottom end of the chart.
Eric Prydz falls back 18 places, after climbing 18 places last place, in his 9th week on the chart (10-15-7-12-24-25-29-11-29)
Ashanti slides 10 places from the number 1 spot all the way down to #11 on her second week around.
Vanessa Carlton struggles to stay in the top 20 in her second week on the chart with 'White Houses.' (2-20)
Britney Spears FINALLY drops out of the Top 10...and also the Top 20! With 'Toxic'
This falls fifteen places, which is huge, seeing as the song has stayed in the Top 10 for nearly 2 months! (2-2-3-5-9-3-6-6-21)
Also, songs from Britney Spears, Alicia Keys and Destiny's Child all fall many places out of the Top 30
Goin' UP
Climbers in this week's chart include...
Girls Aloud, going up a huge 22 places with 'Wake me up' (28-6)
JoJo and N*E*R*D re-enter the chart with top 5 hits.

The Chemicals climb to the top!
Hello.
This week, the Chemical Brothers have become the very first act to get to the Number 1 spot without entering straight there. The Chemicals climb 2 places to get to the top, and knock Destinys Child all the way down to #6
New Entries
New Entries in this weeks chart include:
Kelly Rowland at Numbers 2, 13, 18 and 28
Athlete at #3
Bloc Party at #17
Britney Spears at #4
Chart Movers
There are some interesting chart moves with Ciara, Eric Prydz, Ashanti, Green Day, Britney/Usher and Vanessa Carlton all climbing or falling 15+ places.
Exiting the Chart
Songs leaving the chart this week include
Long runner Vanessa Carlton with A Thousand Miles, which dips a massive 19 places to fall off the chart, after staying within the top 20 for an impressive 9 weeks. (5-3-4-16-12-14-12-9-13-out)
Ashantis two songs Foolish and Only U drop from within the Top 15 over 20 places off the chart.
Ushers Caught Up slides out of the Top 30 from #19 after just 2 weeks around, and barely denting the Top 20.
However, with the loss of Vanessa Carltons song from the chart, there are now just two songs that have remained on every single chart. Eric Prydz with Call on me (which climbs an impressive 18 places this week) and Britney Spears with Toxic (which looks to be on its way out, at #25)
Eric Prydz (10-15-7-12-24-25-29-11-29-11)
Britney (2-2-3-5-9-3-6-6-21-25)
Both songs have now spent 10 weeks on the chart.

Hey guys!
I just posted my 'All Time Top 30' which gives the top 30 played on my computer in the past two years. Interestingly, it includes quite a few recent hits.
Naturally 'Toxic' by Britney is top of the list, and has over a 100 more plays than Eric Prydz in second place.

Estelle pips the Chemicals to the top!
Hello.
Estelle has become the eleventh consecutive NEW number 1 on my chart this week with 1980. This week, the Chemical Brothers with Galvanise came so close to staying at the top it is painful. Both songs had 13 plays on my Media Player this week
but Estelle got to the top due to the fact that she was a new entry.
New Entries
New Entries in this weeks chart include:
Estelle at Numbers 1 and 8
Natasha Bedingfield at #5
Keane at #3
Kelis at #9 who FINALLY gets a top 10 hit. Despite their constant re-entering, Milkshake never got higher than #13 and Trick Me made #14.
Phantom Planet at #7
Beyonce at #13
The Rasmus at #12
Chart Movers
This week, yet again, songs have been making huge moves in the chart. The biggest include
Kelly Rowland dropping 16 places from last weeks #2 spot.
Eric Prydz, in his 11th week on the chart climbs five places to #6 to improve on his original placing of #7 (10-15-7-12-24-25-29-11-29-11-6)
Britney Spears Toxic making a huge comeback almost exactly a year since she got to #1 on the official UK chart, by climbing fourteen places to #11
Destinys Child, Britney Spears and Athlete all falling over 10 places from within the top 10 with their top 3 hits.
Exiting the Chart
Songs leaving the chart this week include
Scissor Sisters original Number 1 Number 1 (ie the first #1) from December exits the chart for a second time with a huge drop of 22 (1-11-8-17-19-out-15-15-30-12-out)
Beyonce with Work it out falling over 35 places from #5 (10-5-out)
Long runner JoJo with Leave(Get Out) exits the Top 30 for a third time. Is it for good this time?
Re-entries
Just one re-entry on the chart this week for Milkshake by Kelis. This is its third re-entry, yet it has only managed to get together a measly 6 weeks on the chart. (30-out-13-18-out-25-30-out-26) Having said that, 6 weeks is above average for my chart.
Vanessa Carlton, who left the chart after 9 weeks with A Thousand Miles (falling from 13 to 32) comes so close to re-entering this week. She climbs a place to #31, but fails to scrape inside the top 30.

Pretty cool chart, but there are a few old songs in there.
Do you download them, or do you put CD's onto your computer?
toxique
9 March 2005, 09:19
yeh there is a pretty wide timeline of songs on there! (oldest is nirvana from 1991!) But there's also a lot of pre-release on there.
I pretty much download most of them now, but some are from CDs that i bought. It's just much cheaper to download, and if it is an older song, it's near to impossible to track it down on cd, and it is bound to cost a lot.
thanks for the post!

Estelle sets a new record!
Moo.
Congratulations are in order for Estelle this week, who has managed to do what no other act has done on my chart before, in its 12 week history. She has maintained her position at the top of the charts with 1980. The song, which only made #14 in the UK Charts has stayed at the top despite The Rasmus, Keane and Phantom Planet climbing and challenging.
This week has been VERY scarce for new entries, which suggests why Estelle managed to make it 2 weeks at the top
New Entries
New Entries in this weeks chart are:
Snoop Dogg at #8
Mariah Carey at #23
Franz Ferdinand at #24
Chart Movers
This week, yet again, songs have been making huge moves in the chart. The biggest include
Natasha Bedingfield and Bloc Party sliding a massive 21 places from within the top 5.
Jennifer Lopez and Natasha Bedingfield making massive climbs of well over 25 places to get back into the Top 15.
Ciara and Beyonce making moves of over ten to get back into the top 10, with Beyonce improving on her #8 of Naughty Girl, shifting the song up to #5
Destinys Child, and Gwen Stefani climb up 15+ places each with their former #1s.
Exiting the Chart
They are scarce, but the few songs exiting this weeks chart are
Kelly Rowland from #18 after a fortnight around with #2 hit Havent Told you
Athlete fall from #14 after two weeks on with Wires, which made #3
Green Day with American Idiot from #30 after 3 weeks. The song peaked at #8
Verbalicious from #22 with #7 hit Dont Play Nice (Although this leaves because the file was deleted from my system for some reason.)
Britney Spears megamix drops well over 30 places off the chart from #10, after originally reaching #4 the week before.
Re-entries
Two re-entries on this weeks chart go to
Jennifer Lopez at #7 with Get Right. A massive climb all the way to her original #7 peak.
Natasha Bedingfield spent a month on the chart in January with Unwritten peaking at #16, but this re-enters at #14 this week, improving on its original placing.

Ah I like your #1's from previous charts idea. I can't fit that in since I'll go over character limit.
Other than that, your chart is great! And I really like 'Girl' from DC too. You should listen to 'Through With Love' - it's an awesome song from their Destiny Fulfilled album.
