Chart movement and News

This week there is a lot of movement with loads of new songs, A total of 7 New entries, and 3 by Mandarin Artists.
But the biggest surprise is that Mariah Carey dropped all the way from Number 1 to No. 13, making her the biggest faller this week. But look out for her new single "We belong together" charting right under the chart, it might be a new entry next week.
The highest new entry belongs to Bonnie McKee, a brand new artists in the making a very unique voice and an excellent song in my opinion. It has a new age pop rock sound so if you like the sound of that go check her out.

Other new entries are: The Freefallers - Do this, Do that, They are a new pop rock band out of the UK, has a really funky new sound, and the lead singer even raps, check them out if you like new rock bands.
The Gorillaz are back too, This is the first time they have ever in the history of my chart enter the top 20, I didn't like their previous singles, but this one really gets me moving. I heard this track by mistake, and since then i couldn't get enough of it. Don't you agree. It entered so low, because it is still kinda new to me, and i am not that use to it yet, but i am sure it will climb up next week. And Electric Music is back, Infusion - Natural, An electronic band, comes out with some rocking new electric songs, that will surely shock you. Excuse the pun, Natural is the thrid single from their latest album. If you like Girls can be cruel and Better World, you will definitely like this one.

The 3 Manadrin New songs are: F.I.R. - Love of a thousand years, they are a brand new band out of Taiwan, mixing the sound of rock, electric, hip-hop, rap, and pop into their music, with some really good ballads. They have only been in the industry for a year now, and are going strong. Their Second album "Unlimited" is now No.1 in Taiwan, Congrats. They are a 3 piece, Faye has a beautiful voice who is the lead singer, Real the songwriter, producer and teacher of the group, and Ian the guitarist, bass player.
Jolin breaks another record by entering the chart with her brand new single off her brand new album "J-Game", making her another artist to have 2 singles in the top 20 at the same time. Her brand new song "Barbaric Game" is just SSOOOO coool, it gets me dancing like crazy when i hear it, I absolutely love it to pieces, my current fave song.
And the popular boy band 5566 enters with their song called "Fighting", Love the tune, beat everything about the song, really good sound, doesn't sound like a boy band at all to me.

This Weeks not so Hot

Goto say bye bye to:
1) Natalie - Goin' Crazy
2) Gwen Stefani & Eve - Rich Girl
3) Kelly Clarkson - Since u been gone
4) 50 Cent - Candy Shop
5) Good Charlotte - I just wanna live
6) Amerie - 1 Thing
Sorry to see them go, but we have to make way for some brand new songs, right? But if they are good enough, we might see them come back. Chiow

This Weeks Power Play

Here I give you some of my latest new songs I dig, that is not yet in the chart, and might enter next week, or later:
1) Backstreet Boys - Incomplete
2) Caesars - Jerk it Out
3) Snoop Dogg ft. Justin Timberlake - Signs
4) Mariah Carey - We belong together
5) Chemical Brothers - Believe
Here are some Mandarin Tracks too
1) Nicky Lee - Shadow
2) JJ - A thousand years later
3) Vivian - I Miss You
4) Jolin - Sky

That's all from from me this week, I hope you like the brand new no. 1 "Britney Spears - Do Somethin'" it is a bit old but I am her biggest fan and I really love that song, so i think it deserves the number 1 spot, don't you think? Anyways if you have some comments please do reply, I would love to hear what you think of my chart. Thanx, from me slowmotion

This Week’s New Entries:

This week there is a massive number of new entries, a total of 8 New Songs entering the chart. Wow now that is a lot.
They Are:
1) The Highest New Entry (3): Black Eyed Peas - Don’t phunk with my heart
Off their new album “Monkey Business”, they hit the chart at the highest position so far, can they reach number 1 next week is the question. Congrats to them, well done for making this weeks highest new entry. Have you guys seen this music video, it is so funny, and so different compared to others, very interesting, it lifts you up after you watch it. Cool man.
2) Snoop Dogg ft. Justin Timberlake - Signs (6):
Looks like Justin is doing it again, whatever he touches turns to Gold, I am not a big fan of his, but you’ve gotta admit that this song is cool, gets me moving whenever I hear it. Looks like this will be Snoop’s biggest song.
3) Atomic Kitten - Cradle (9):
Looks like Atomic Kitten is doing it again, they hit the chart in the top 10, but can they make it last longer, we’ll just have to find out next week. The video is what caught my attention, really touching. I was touched by their generosity, and care for the orphaned children in Africa. It’s so sad to see that there are so many people especially little kids that are suffering such trauma and pain in this world. So I give a thumbs up to them for visiting them and making a difference in the world. Well Done.
4) Lee Hom - Let go of your heart (11):
Here comes another Mandarin Artists hitting the chart, the very gorgeous, handsome, talented, hunky, stud from Taiwan enters with a catchy song “Let go of your heart”. Listen out for more of this guy from Taiwan. He plays any instrument you can think of, and he produced basically all his track in his latest album. Now that is what I call dedication. Keep it up!!!!
5) The Killers - Mr. Brightside (14):
They enter with their second single off “Hot Fuss”,I don’t know what to think of it yet, but it sounds really cool though. Lots of people like it, so there must be something good in the song. We’ll see.
6) JJ - No.89757 (15):
Another Mandarin Hunk out of Taiwan, enters with the title track off his latest album. 89757 is kind of his lucky number. In his video, No.89757 is the robot’s name. Very interesting video, about a robot falling in love with his master. Check it out if like the sound of it.
7) Chemical Brothers - Believe (17):
The Hip-Hop Dance Freaks are back with the follow up to Galvanise, This is what I call dance music, Love it, that’s all I can say. Funny enough here’s another video about robots. What a co-incident.
8) Phixx - City of the night (18):
Yip this is not a release from the boy band Phixx, but it’s such a cool song, I can’t help but put it in the chart. Haven’t you ever had a song from an artist that you really like but they didn’t release it? Doesn’t that make you mad, yip that’s why I have to put this on my chart. Fans, you’ll have to wait a while for their new album, Sorry ;(

This Week’s Chart Movement and News:

Again this week we have a brand new Number 1, Congratulations to Gwen Stefani for reaching Number 1 with “Hollaback Girl”, knocking Britney Down to Number 13, making her the biggest faller this week. Unfortunately she suffers the same fate as Mariah Carey last week. Will Gwen suffer the same, find out next week.
This week’s highest climber goes to F.I.R. - Love of a thousand years. It’s their second week in the chart. They hit the Top 10 at Number 5, making them the second Mandarin Artist to reach the top 10, well done. They are a Punk-Rock band out of Taiwan, with lead Singer Faye (a beautiful voice), guitarist Ian, and producer/keyboard Real. 5566 is another Mandarin Boy Band entering the Top 10 this week as well. They are so famous in Taiwan, it’s not funny. They sing, act and host. Yip multi-talented is what I say. Fighting is really excellent, see if you like it.
Songs not moving in the chart are “Jolin - Trademark Movement” second week at number 2, not quite reaching number 1, and “Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.” second week at No.20, right at the bottom of the chart.
Coco Lee has 1 song moving up and 1 moving down, Magic words is up 4 to No.4, and No Doubt Falls from No.6 to 12. Good luck to her, maybe she will reach No.1 soon. She is a Mandarin Artist, and she just released her English Album “Exposed”, so check her out. ****, and Gorgeous.

This Week’s Not So Hot:

Songs Out this week are:
1) Kelly Clarkson - Behind these hazel eyes, 2)Lindsay Lohan - Rumours, 3)Bonnie McKee - Trouble, 4)Freefaller - Do this, Do that, 5)Mariah Carey - We belong together, 6)Three Days Grace - Just like you, 7)Papa Roach - Scars. 8)Infusion - Natural.
Sorry for them, they have to make way for brand new songs, but we might see them as new entries some day, so it’s not all bye bye.

This Week’s Power Songs:

Let me explain, this is where I tell you what is coming up next week, like who might be charting as new entries, and some new tracks hovering under the Top 20.
International Tracks:
1) Backstreet Boys - Incomplete OR Beautiful Woman:
Please help me, I am stuck between these two new songs by the Backstreet Boys, Yes you are not dreaming, the Backstreet Boys are back after their long absence. I got a chance to hear their new power ballad “Incomplete” and a really up beat song “Beautiful Woman” , but I am stuck with choosing which one is better, please contact me and tell me which you like more. Thanks.
2) Daft Punk - Technologic
3) Good Charlotte - We Believe
4) Mariah Carey - We belong together
5) Rachel Stevens - Negotiate with love
6) Switchfoot - Redemption
7) Baby Bash - Baby I’m Back
8) Rob Thomas - Lonely No More
9) The Game ft. 50 Cent - Hate it or Love it
Mandarin Tracks:
1) K One - Love Power
2) Jolin - Sky
3) F.I.R. - Open your heart
4) Jones - Firelight
5) JJ - A thousand years later

That’s it from me this week, hope you enjoyed my chart as much as I did making it. Just to make clear of something, Mandarin Artists release songs much faster than international artists, so that’s why you will see so many songs charting by the same Mandarin Artists, but I will try spread it out so everyone can enter my chart. Only good songs chart in my chart. Hope that clears things up. Remember any comments, feel free to reply or e-mail me at simhou@gmail.com on any queries.
See ya. From me Slowmotion
Peace Out xxxx

Hey, Hey, Hey, The top 100 Hall of Fame is back, Yip the cool, the best, the most exciting chart is back.
So without further a do, let’s countdown from 21-40, this week.
Top 100 Hall of Fame:

21) Liberty X - Just a little
22) Speedway - Can’t turn back
23) Avril Lavigne - I’m with you
24) 2 Unlimited - No Limit
25) OTown - All or Nothing
26) Evanescence - Going Under
27) DJ Sammy ft. Yanou & Do - Heaven
28) Boomkat - The Wreckoning
29) Boogie Pimps - Somebody to love
30) LFO - Every other time
31) Commander Tom - Attention
32) S Club 7 - Alive
33) Liberty X - Jumpin’
34) Suga****s - Freak like me
35) Delta Goodrem - Innocent Eyes
36) Abs ft. Nodesha - Miss Perfect
37) S Club 8 - Sundown
38) Basement Jaxx - Right here’s the spot
39) Novaspace - Beds Are Burning
40) O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei (Re-mix)

How interesting is this chart? So many artists, so little space to put them in, I had to leave out so many other incredible songs, but that is just how life goes right, nothing is fair.
So looking good for Liberty X, they have 2 singles in the Top 40, with Just a Little at 21(their debut hit single which reached #1 in the UK) and Jumpin’ at 33 off their second album, both are very catchy, and dancy.
And also 1 of 2 non-english songs by O-Zone in the Top 100 is at #40, so congratulations to them, but it looks like that song is just a one hit wonder, like the Macarena Song, and The Ketchup Song.
S Club 8 the youngest band in the chart has a brilliant single Sundown at #37, well done our little champs.

These are just some info about my chart, if you want to know more or want to comment about my Top 100, go ahead and reply, they are all welcome.
Don’t forget to come back, same time, same place, next week for #41-#60. Loads more incredible artists are coming up from the likes of Ciara, Blue, Jewel, Girls Aloud, D-Side, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Hilary Duff, Despina Vandi, Jason Mraz, Anastacia and so much more.
So see ya next week.
Peace Out xxxx

This Week’s Chart Talk:

This week a total of 6 New Entries, and 1 Re-entry. They Are:
1) Highest: Aluna - All of my life an excellent mix by Styles & Breeze at 5, the first Trance hit to enter the chart. Congrats!!
2) F.I.R. - Open your heart at 8, they fall off this week with ‘love of a thousand year’ and they enter with their new single as well, this time a beautiful ballad.
3) D-Side - Pushin’ Me Out at 12, Boy Band from the UK, an excellent dance beat in the background, nice song for a boy band. Haha.
4) Speedway - In & Out at 14, cool band out of the UK as well, a really good single ‘Can’t turn back’, now they follow it up with another great 1.
5) Jennifer Ellison - Bye Bye Boy at 15, a really hot woman, former actress as well. Now turned singer, check this song out.
6) Louise - Pandora’s Kiss at 18, another UK singer entering the chart, with an brilliant rock single.
7) Re-Entry: Lindsay Lohan - Rumours at 16, she did reach #4 but fell off pretty quickly, now she’s back. A really awesome tune, love it to pieces.

Unfortunately this week Gwen is Unable to hold on to the Number 1 Spot, she falls to Number 2, it is only 1 position, she might climb back up, hold fingers if you are a fan.

So This Week we have a Brand New Number 1, and they are The Black Eyed Peas, They’re back with a bang off their latest album “Monkey Business”. They first single ‘Don’t phunk with my heart’ reaches No.1, well done. Can they hang on and prevent Gwen from going back, or any other songs from taking that spot, well find out next week.

Rooster moves up 7, making them the highest climber. Staring at the sun a much slower track, really awesome, no doubt about that. This week at 3, can it take Number 1 next week, they could be.

Jolin doing pretty well at 4, she moves up from 9 with ‘Sky’, a beautiful Song.

The Highest New Entry from Aluna with ‘All of my life’, but not with the original track, the original is good, but the Styles & Breeze Mix is so much better, take a listen if you don’t believe. This is the first Trance Single to enter so listen out, it’s going to be big.

Mariah slips one position, last weeks new entry at 5. ‘We belong together’ her ballad release is doing well, but can it take Number 1 like her first single ‘It’s like that’? we’ll find out soon.

The Killers still in the top 10, only moving down 1 position to 7, can they still hang on next week?

F.I.R. comes back with a ballad, beautiful beautiful song. ‘Open your Heart’ my fave from their 2nd Album “Unlimited”

Simple Plan moves up 3, with ‘Untitled’. Moves into the Top 10 for the first time.

Kelly Clarkson also climbs 3, moves back into the Top 10 this week.

Britney Former Number 1 with “Do Somethin’”, moves back up 4 to #11. Can she move back to the Top 10?

D-Side new with ‘Pushin’ Me Out’ at #12. Pretty old track but very good song.

Vivian is also looking good, moves up 5, to her highest position.

Speedway - In & Out, 3rd single release, looking good so far, enters at 14.

Jennifer Ellison - Bye Bye Boy at 15, also new. I really like this tune. Good Song!

Lindsay Lohan is back in the chart, Hooray!!!! ‘Rumours’ is such a catchy song, I just can’t help singer and dancing along with it everytime I hear it.

Backstreet is Up 3, moving slowly to 17, this week.

Louise another new entry, the lowest ‘Pandora’s Kiss’ is her first release and is really doing good. Reached No.5 in the UK, let’s see what it does here.

3 Doors Down, Not looking good at all, down from last weeks No.3, to this weeks No. 19. Big big drop. Looks like it’s gone next week 

Coco Lee the biggest faller, last weeks #2, this weeks #20, right at the bottom. It just held on to the chart. Looks like she is going out next week too 

This Week’s Power Songs:

[b]International Tracks:
1) Tyler James - Why do I do?
2) Natalie Imbruglia - Shiver
3) Rob Thomas - Lonely No More
4) NIC - I’m Done
5) Basement Jaxx - Right here’s the spot

Mandarin Tracks:

Here is this weeks Hall of Fame:
From Number 41 to 60. Enjoy!!!
Top 100 Hall of Fame:

41) Vanessa Carlton - A thousand miles
42) Blue - Too Close
43) Trapt - Still Frame
44) Despina Vandi - Igia
45) Leann Rimes - Tick Tock
46) Jessica Simpson - Irresistable
47) Simple Plan - Perfect

54) Royal Gigolos - California Dreamin’
55) Phixx - Wild Boys
56) Jewel - Intuition
57) Delta Goodrem - Predictable
58) Michelle Branch - All you wanted
39) D-Side - Invisible
60) Maroon 5 - This Love

Come back same time next week, and take a look at Number 61 to 80.
Hope you enjoyed 41 to 60, there are some really good songs. Most of them though are pretty old, not much new tracks in top 60.
Here the new ones are “popular” “This Love” and “California Dreamin’”, that’s about it.
Surprisingly ‘This love’ only entered at 60. If you are a fan, it could be disappointing, but I really thought “Harder to breathe”, was the best single from their album. This Love, She will be loved, and Sunday Morning were all too mellow, and slow for me. Harder to breathe is much better. Much more hard rock and hardcore, not as heavy as heavy metal though. That’s the sound I like from them.

That is it, keep well.
Top 20 coming next, so don’t go anywhere.
Later.

8) Anastacia - Heavy on my heart at #20, new right at the bottom, also not my fave from her new album, but good.

And another week goes by, and The Black Eyed Peas have not stayed put at Number 1, They fall down 4 positions to #5, making way for a brand new Number 1 this week.

The Brand New Number 1 Belongs to “Rooster - Staring at the sun”, they climb from #3 to #1. This is their first ever #1 song from them, so congratulations my band. Wow!!! Keep it up. Can they hang on at #1 again next week, well come back and find out if you are a fan too.

Jolin gets her second #2 single with “Sky”, her previous “Trademark Movement” also reached #2 but didn’t make it to #1, so let’s see if she can do it with this one. Holding thumbs.

F.I.R. gets their highest charting single, with “Open your heart”, a much slower song, beautiful ballad. Will they reach #1 with this track? Looking good for them though. By the way, they WON “Best New Artists” in this years Golden Melody Awards, so well done to them.

Aluna moves up slowly to #4, only up 1 position.
As you know the Black Eyed Peas falls to #5.
Gwen Stefani is falling too, down 4 to #6.

This Week’s Chart Talk:

Wow!!!!
This week’s chart is very exciting, the most exciting one yet, so many movements, new entries, re-entries, surprises, and a brand new number 1.
As you can see, Rooster doesn’t manage to hang on to the Number 1 spot.
This week, we have our first Mandarin No.1. Now that is another record being set.
F.I.R. takes their first No.1 since their last self-titled album. Previous Number 1’s from them were:
“Lydia”, “Fly Away”, “I wanna fly”, “Your Smile”, and so much more.
Congrats to them, this is their first No.1 since their 2nd album release in April. They are the most successful band in Taiwan right now.

The top 3 this week, are all from Asia. F.I.R. (Taiwan), Vivian Hsu (Taiwan) and Ayumi Hamasaki (Japan).
It’s Ayumi’s 2nd week in the chart and she is already at No.3. She is moving pretty fast. Could she be the next No.1 next week???
Big Question Mark??? Find out next week. She also takes our Highest Climber this week, Moving up from #12 to #3, Up 9 Positions.

2 Re-entries comes from the Backstreet Boys with “Incomplete” (6) and K One - Love Power (9) another Mandarin Boy Band, very talented.
Their dance moves can be #1 in the world (My opinion).

The only Non-Mover, Lindsay Lohan stays put at #7.

Good Charlotte climbs 2 to #8.

Aluna falls big down 6 to 10, looks like they peak at #4

But not all bad news for Trance Fans, cos Ethan enters this week’s chart at #11, with “In my heart”. A really cool song!!!

Gigi & Jolin, 2 Mandarin artists entering this week in the chart. Jolin comes back with a banging 3rd single “Turns a blind eye”, but falls out this week, with “Sky”, which only peaked at #2. Gigi is her first time in the chart, with her brand new song “Prejudice”, she comes from China, but doing very well all over Asia.

Former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell comes back with a banging new single, very up beat and Dancy. This track is called “Desire”. She’s doing quite well entering at #14.

Rooster’s 2nd single is up 1, moving steadily up the chart.

Black Eyed Peas is our biggest faller this week, moving down 11 positions from #5 to #16, it doesn’t look good for them, they could be gone next week.

Basement Jaxx come back with another single, off their just released “The Singles” album. “Oh My Gosh!”, doing pretty well here. I like this song, it’s growing on me pretty fast.

Michelle & Vickie, another Debut Mandarin Artists entering in the chart. Their very slow ballad “Time” is looking very good, it comes in at #18.

Jesse McCartney, follow up to his 1st single “Beautiful Soul” enters with the re-mixed version by The Neptunes. Yip, whatever the Neptunes touches also turns to Gold. She’s no you, didn’t quite catch my attention, but the re-mix makes it so much better. If you don’t believe, check it out for yourself.

Jennifer Lopez, new at #20. The Re-mixed Version as well. I like it so much better than the ballad version. The Re-mix once again sounds totally different from the Original. Just like her version with Ja Rule, “I’m Real” & “Ain’t it funny”.

This Week’s Power Songs:

International Tracks:
1) Ben Adams - Sorry (Definitely Top 10)
2) Triple 8 - Good to go (Top 15)
3) Ayumi Hamasaki - Women (Definite Top 10) Love this track. The Video is awesome, you have to check it out for yourself, if you are a fan.
4) Nelly - Errtime (Top 20)
5) Axel F - Crazy Frog (Maybe)
6) Delta Goodrem - A little too late (Definite Top 10)

Mandarin Tracks:
1) JJ - Mummy (Top 20)
2) Sweety - Kiss Me (Top 20)
3) 183 Club - Hypnotised (Top 15)
4) Jones - Frozen (Top 10)

Look out for these power plays, they are really BIG contenders for next weeks chart, some might get in, some might not.
Come back next week and find out. That’s it, until next time.
Peace Out xxxx

hey, I just returned from my holidays in Ibiza (that's why I've been off so long).

I think Boogie Pimps - Somebody to love is gonna be my favorite in your HoF (even though Ana Johnson for example has a higher ranking in my one), 'cause I really love this song (and they played it a lot in Ibiza ;))

Hella Good is a well-deserved no.1, the best No Doubt song besides Just A Girl

keep up ya excellent work !!

as I may I would like to recommend my favorite Ayumi Hamasaki song;
it is the trance-version of Connected, it was the first one of her songs I listened to and became fan of her

Yeah, I know my chart is pretty slow, but I am trying my best to put the newest songs. I don't have good radio stations here in Taiwan, and I can't spend too much time on the internet to listen to songs, so you will just have to go along with me for now.
I have heard lots of new songs though, but they are just not my liking, so they don't enter at all.

And as for the Crazy Frog, Don't worry, I just put it there to see what people think of the song, I also don't quite like it, so now worries, It will never go in the chart. Thanx for letting me know though.

Hey that is it guys, this is my Top 100 Hall of Fame.
Wow, so many songs so little positions to put them in.
I have so many wonderful songs, but unfortunately they didn’t make it in the Top 100, so the songs that did make it, we have to congratulate them, cos it’s a really big honour to be in there, very hard to get in, and they did it. Well Done to all the 100 songs in my Hall of Fame.
So if your fave song is pretty low in the Top 100, it doesn’t mean it’s not a good song, it means it’s a brilliant song, otherwise they couldn’t have made the chart.
To tell you the truth, all the songs in the Top 100, has reached Number 1, for about 1 week, so well done.
There are still so many of them outside the Top 100, I will make sure to let you know next week. It’s not over yet. I’ll give you the list of some of the songs that didn’t make it in, but deserves it in my opinion.
So check it out next week, don’t miss out.

That’s all this week, remember to post any comments you like. :)
See ya.
Peace xxxx

I know your problem - too many good songs and too little space to place them all in your HoF - so well :)

and again there are at least 6 songs in #81-#100 which are favs of mine, too, especially the Lasgo debut ''Something'' (but because it only reached #5 in 2001 there is no chance for it to appear in my HoF...)

I'll go on with #51-#75 the next days, too, so look out for it if ya like :)

Offcourse I will check it out, Definitely.

Same here with Lasgo, when it first came out that song wasn't that exciting for me, so I didn't chart it pretty high, but then months go by it starts growing on me, and I begin to love it, but by then it's too late. There's just no time for you to chart it back in your chart, cos there are just too many other songs you like too.
That's what I got for not realising that there is a brilliant song right in front of me.
It's really hard to concentrate when you have to listen to so many songs and decide which ones you like for that moment.
Don't ya think?

I hope that Lasgo and Kelly Osbourne will enter your charts next week :)
''All Night Long'' appears in kind of a new style the big Belgian dance artists seem to produce their new songs (as well as Sylver and Ian van Dahl), with 80ie-ish synthie sounds, very nice I think. Unfortunately it didn't reach my top10 when it was released (only #16).

Kelly Osbourne has also made an advantageous development, ''One Word'' reminds me a lot of Visage's 1981 smasher ''Fade To Grey''

Hey guys, got some bad news and some good news to share.
The bad news is, I will be going on a long leave in July until about September or October, and I won’t be near a computer for that time, so I won’t be able to post my charts in the near future.
The good news is I will have time to post the chart frequently now (Maybe dayly) until I leave, so if you are a fan of my chart remember to check it out dayly from now until June 30.
So I hope you enjoy the last few charts I have for you.

Here it is, Today’s Chart:
Many movers once again, with 7 new entries this time, and only 1 song not moving.
But let me tell you, the Top 3 has changed totally, that means we have a Brand New Number 1 this time. Who will it be?
Read on to find out.

This Week’s Chart Talk:

And again we have a new number 1 this time. Looks like F.I.R. doesn’t manage to take number 1 for another week. Now they join Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” who also took No.1 for 2 weeks in a row.
F.I.R. falls down 7 positions to #8. But they don’t have to worry cos their new single “Thorn Bird” just entered at #16 this week.

And Now the Brand New Number 1 this week belongs to “Ben Adams with his debut hit single ‘Sorry’ a former A1 member gone solo now and comes back with a banging single” Can you believe it, his debut and reaches #1 in just his 2nd week in the chart. The quickest song in the history of the chart to take Number 1. That means no songs yet has debuted in at the Top spot. Can he hold on at #1 again, find out next time.

K One takes #2 this week, with their debut single “Love Power”. They are a big contender for Number 1 too. So look out for them.

Jolin takes the #3 spot, rounding off this week’s Top 3 singles. Totally new as I said. “Turns a blind eye” is her 3rd single to reach the Top 3.

Rooster’s next single “You’re so right for me” is climbing the chart, last week at #11, this week at #4. Looking good for them. Can they make their 2nd appearance at the Top spot in just a short time. If they do that they will be the first artists to do it. This movement also gives them 2 singles in the Top 10 this week. Joining the likes of Coco Lee & Ayumi Hamasaki. Looks like Rooster is breaking all the records, and setting new ones as well.

Delta Goodrem rounds off the Top 5, with a brilliant single “A little too late”. She is also climbing the chart, it’s only her 2nd week and she is already in the Top 5.

Lasgo is this week’s highest New Entry. They come in at #6 with “All Night Long”. This song was released earlier this year, but only got here in Taiwan now. Love this song to pieces right now. Trust me it’s going to climb up next time.

Basement Jaxx is moving up with their single “Oh My Gosh!”. Doing pretty well at #7. Their first week in the Top 10.

Last Weeks Number 1 is at #8 this week. F.I.R. falls down, a former 2 week #1. Well done, they are the first Mandarin Artists to do that. Incredible achievement!!

Rooster, former #1 as well, is at #9 with “Staring at the sun”. Still looking strong in the Top 10, and it’s the longest running song in the Top 20, it’s been in the chart for 6 weeks already, and if you are a fan of my chart you will know that that is a very long time. It’s very hard for a song to stay in my chart for long, even Gwen Stefani made it 6 weeks in the chart. So congratulations to Rooster. If they stay in next week, they will be the longest running song in the chart. Holding thumbs.

The only Non-Mover belongs to Ayumi with “my name’s WOMEN”, a really weird song title, doesn’t really make sense, but a great song nevertheless.
She stays at #10 this week. Is this Love? Is the biggest faller this week, looks like she is moving out with that single. It charts at #19.

Another new song by Sweety called “Kiss Me”. They are a Two Piece out of Taiwan, who can sing and act at the same time. (Looks like everyone can do that these days). They are 2 really cute 17 year old girls. They are doing really well, debuting at #11 this week.

Kelly Osbourne is looking good with her new single “One Word”. A big difference since her previous album. A really good change in my opinion too. One Word charts at #12.

A brand new Artists called Marion Raven entered last week with her debut single release “End of me”. I think she is from America. If you know her, please give me some info about her. Thanx. I really like her track, very Avril Lavigne like, with a mix of Michelle Branch as well.

183 Club, boy band out of Taiwan, doing pretty well. If you know 5566, then you should know one of the member in 183 Club, cos he started this band. Really talented and good looking guys. Check them out if you like the sound of it. “Hypnotised” is the soundtrack to a hit drama series in Taiwan right now. Nice Spanish beat to it.

Energy entered lat week as well at #20, this week they climb 5 to #15 with “Heaven & Earth”.
This is their final album release, after this they will split up. Bad news if you are a fan. A really good single for a break up song though. Sad to see them go. One of the finest out of Taiwan. Farewell. An appropriate title for their last album too. It’s called “Final Fantasy”.

Nicky Lee, former Machi member, goes solo, and sings. He was a rapper in Machi, and now all of a sudden he comes out with a album that shows off his magnificent voice. Never knew he had it. Good looking, and really talented. He is from Korea but doing very well in Taiwan. Look out for his album “Shadow”. Love it. “5th Street” is more of a Pop anthem, not a ballad.

Avril Lavigne comes back with her next single “Fall to pieces”. She charts at #18. Not the best position, but trust me it’s going to do well.

And finally Gwen Stefani comes in with her brand new single “Cool”. A very different song compared to her other releases. This time a slower track, but still has that funky sound in the background. Wondering why it’s so low. I also don’t know. Haha  It just is, okay. Don’t worry though, it’s not going out just yet.

This Week’s Power Songs:

International Tracks:
1) Lindsay Lohan - First
2) Blue ft. Kool & The Gang - Get down on it
3) Scooter - One (Always Hardcore)
4) Brooklyn Bounce - This is what we are
5) Coco Lee - Belly Dance
6) Da Buzz - Dangerous

Mandarin Tracks:
1) Fan Fan - It’s You
2) 7 Flowers - Bye! Boy
3) Stanley Hwung - Darkness
4) Will & Angela - Happy Praise

Well this is it. The chart is done, hope everything makes sense.
Not to worry though, the next chart coming soon, maybe tomorrow can’t guarantee it though.
Any comment you want to make, or suggestions, go ahead.
There will be a few surprises, believe me. There will also be no chart talk and won’t look as pretty. It will only be from Monday to Friday.
Look forward to your comments.

I found the track, but it's only a preview, but it is absolutely brilliant.
1 minute is enough, that track is amazing. Really cool, thanx for sharing the song with me. I listened to 3 different mixes of it and they are all awesome, I don't know which is better.

Thanx for the info.

i'm really happy that you put O-zone's song "Dragostea Din Tei" as 40th on your chart. I love O-zone, and i've learned a lot about them. I'm obsessed with the band (hint: the username is "romaniandiva_inUSA" since the band is made of Romanian guys who are from Moldovia). I've got to tell you one thing though: I LOVE YOUR TASTE!!! You keep track of all, and i mean ALL of the latest hits. It's as if you know what a LOT (i'm not saying everybody) likes. Good Job!
