CD Release/Jazz Concerts/Radio Interview for Tokeli’s debut jazz album, “Where Do You Start?” in June/July 2006
Vocalist Tokeli and her seven-piece ensemble will be the featured performers at two exciting jazz concerts to promote their upcoming release “Where Do You Start?” (co-produced by legendary jazz guitarist Peter Sprague at Spragueland Studios, 2006).
MONDAY, MAY 29, 2006
In preparation for the CD release, Tokeli will be featured in an interview Monday, May 29th, 2006 at 7pm (PST) on San Diego’s KSDS Jazz 88 (on the FM dial at 88.3; also available LIVE streaming at www.jazz88online.org). The interview is part of Jazz 88’s “Jazz Voices” Monday night series hosted by Jeff Dalrymple. Selections from her debut CD will also be played for the radio interview.

Tokeli and the jazz ensemble will perform originals and standards at this FREE outdoor concert. Attendees are encouraged to come early to find space in the park, bring a picnic meal and blankets/chairs. All ages/families welcome. In addition to Tokeli on vocals, Peter Sprague on guitar, and Gilbert Castellanos on trumpet, the line-up will include Tokeli’s musical director, Ed Kornhauser on piano, Mack Leighton on bass, Paul Ingram on drums and Tom Aros on percussion.
