what kind or style of music is there down under?

mostly rock acts such as eskimo joe, wolfmother, jet, thirsty merc, powderfinger, youth group, evermore (NZ). But recently there has been a surge of singer-songwriters such as bernard fanning, ben lee, missy higgins, pete murray, etc. Also lately a bit of electro dance rock with TV Rock having a number one single and Rogue Traders achieving triple platinum album sales.

there are also alot of rnb and hiphop singers... there are plenty rappers and hip hop groups in NZ
