i use to remember this site had so much members and always active, now it's dead like a animal lying in the street.

i think mods/admins should reconsider letting members downloading or posting links to song, because we've got to accept that mp3 downloading is here to stay and that it's not piracy but more of sharing songs together, its not like the artists gonna come and chase us with a lawsuit, musicians already accepted downloading and etc. Because if this site doesn't have active members posting, might as well close the whole forum and leave open the charts only

Hi Dr Zayus, our members exchange 1,200 - 1,500 PM every day - also the "CALENDAR" is visited by thousands members every day. The forums were built from the beginning for professionals / people who loves music not for members who want to have fights among them. ;)

Yes I totally agree, you can use the appropriate links/ sites', following is the list:

1. iTunes by Apple
2. Yahoo Music
3. Walmart.com
4. eMusic MP3 Music
5. AMAZON MP3s
6. Real Rhapsody
7. Napster
8. MSN

So If you set/put links from the above list nobody will erase your links/posts etc. Also the mods do not erase direct links for Facebook, MySpace, YouTube etc But THEY ERASE links to Rapid Share and other "free" (non legal) hosting services. Top40 Charts is an online magazine which respecting authors/ artists etc - this isn't a place for exchanging non-legal activities.
More, you can remember why you are on Top 40 Charts boat: read again our FAQ : http://top40-charts.com/forums/faq.php? :)

I use very much the Calendar, is the perfect industry source for new releases, concert dates etc. As a proffesional DJ I haven't any complaint about how Top40 Charts' forums are: Forums are having info for everything you are looking for, besides i have read the FAQ:
"-Posting Copyright Protected Materials: Please help us respect the copyright of other working professionals. Post links to articles or copyright protected photographs rather than copying and pasting them directly to the forum.
-Links to Other Forums: We ask that you do not post direct links to other forums. "
If someone wants to give links and sources about music i believe that the list you gave Paris is fitting perfectly here.

"Forums are an online discussion group in which participants with common interests can exchange open messages. An Internet forum is a web application for holding discussions and posting user generated content" according to Wikipedia.

let's say you are on the street: you are going to give non-legal matterial to anyone? Forum is a place like "square" so anyone has to acting similar like walking in the streets, going to cd-shops, cinema etc. If you are having the idea that any "FORUM" is something different from you real life, then probably you are having wrong perception about the NET. Friendly, as a member in the last 3 years of To40 charts, this is a place which does not offend my culture and my intelligence.
