ABOUT BELASCO
Based in the UK, Belasco have achieved fame in Germany with "15 Seconds" a
featured track from their mini album called "Technique" [Supermusic]. Rumba
(FIN) finds, that "this trio emerges some where between Manic Street
Preachers and Coldplay where they are the best on their calm ballads."
Calmness is the key word, although their melancholic discourse triggers the
best of all emotions, especially the mixture of happiness and anger. Sue
Magazine also from Finland, claims that, "If the Danish band Kashmir brought
people to their knees at Tavastia, Belasco has an even better chance to do
the same, where soulful/emotional guitar rock has always been popular up
here in the north." Therefore, if you want it all, especially the rolla
coaster ride from hell and back, Belasco is your band. Think Radiohead,
Muse, yes even Coldplay but remarkably better.
ABOUT FLANNELMOUTH
Flannelmouth can be understood as either, a creepy little fish found in
Colorado or an incredibly wicked band found in Helsinki, Finland. Both have
razor sharp scales yet, the band's tend to be within the context of pity',
rocky relationships, and DEAD moodiness, all of which, make the band
skillfully qualified to attack any listener. Luckily, evolution for the band
meant ending up some where between Britpop and supreme melodrama. Manchester
Music writes, "It's twisted, heartbroken pop". You bet it is and its even
more sharp with the forthcoming single in May 2004 featuring "(What A)
Comeback", a follow up to I've Seen Nothing Yet, both produced by Tom
Hakava. And at last, Fufkin adds, "Flannelmouth differentiates itself from
those big sounding bands with a remarkable facility for keeping the
emotional scope, but scaling down the music to a level of true intimacy."
Right again and it is only just the beginning as you've seen nothing yet.
