If you look at the American Billboarn charts it is mostly, R and B, Hip Hop etc. At least in Britain we can have a bit of variety even if it is cheesy, (Fast Food Rockers, Busted in mind!) We have a few pop bands (Atomic Kitten, Westlife, Blue) and we have some rock/pop (robbie williams, Darkness) and we have rock bands (Darkness, Oasis, Coldplay). So, therefore i think that the UK music is better because there is a lot more than just R 'n' B

I've just got back from a holiday in the US, and their radio and TV music channels really suck!! There's no variety, all the current rock music sounds the same and the only other alternative is R&B which is no better. I agree with anthonywaite, at least the UK charts reflects a variety of tastes.

How can you say UK music is better than the music that the U.S produce?

From America you get the likes of Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Evanescence, Christina, Pink, Destiny's Child, Alicia Keys and many more who have great talents.
Look at some of the music in Britain. Busted, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, S Club 8, Rachel Stevens, Westlife, Lisa Scott-Lee, Girls Aloud. Most of these don't sing live ever!
But there are some good ones from the U.K. Dido, Coldplay, Alex Parks and the Suga****s who all have good voices.

There are good music and bad music in both countries, but the proportion of **** is much higher in the USA, where the main acts like Christina Aguilera, 50 Cent, Beyonce, are manufactured commercial for teens... In the UK, there´s still a bit of life outside the *****y circle, even tough the UK charts are starting to look like the USA because of the influence of MTV... Just compare the best selling album in US (50 Cent) to the best selling in UK (Dido)... I think you know what that means...

Uk music definitely as the chart has mixed music genres in the chart, the American chart is all r&B/hiphop.

Definitely UK. We have a lot of talent in this country and a broad range of music to suit all tastes. A strong musical heritage too.

I agree that UK Music is better because it has lots of genres.
