LOS ANGELES, CA (Top40 Charts/ LUCK Media & Marketing) "Bring Me Home," Kanisha K's red-hot follow-up single to her breakthrough hit "My Another Day," is off to an explosive start in the adult contemporary format, hitting #1 on the FMQB AC Add Board on the chart published June 3.
The fast rising Holland, Mich. based singer (www.kanishakmusic.com) is in great company on this list, scoring more adds than the latest tracks by
Coldplay and LeAnn Rimes.
Speaking of home, Kanisha will be singing the
National Anthem on Saturday, June 7 for the West Michigan Whitecaps, the
Detroit Tigers Single A minor league affiliate, located in Comstock Park, MI, a suburb of Grand Rapids.
"My Another Day" recently earned Kanisha her first Hollywood
Music in Media Award (HMMA) for Best Pop Song.
"Bring Me Home" was produced by veteran producer and artist Larry King (Soleil Moon, lead vocalist in the Michael Thompson Band & Larry King Orchestra). The track features some of Chicago's top musicians, including John Blasucci on keyboards, Khari Parker on drums, Lamar Jones on bass and guitarist Chris Siebold.
"My Another Day," which was a Top 40 hit on the Mediabase A/C chart, was conceived as a healing post-breakup song but adopted by many fans as an anthem about overcoming addiction. It's the follow-up to her first Top Ten single, "I Found Love (Just In Time For Christmas)."
The infectious track, which reached #5 on the FMQB AC40 Chart alongside superstars like Pharrell Williams, Daughtry, One Direction, Imagine Dragons,
Katy Perry and Lorde, also received a nod in the Best Pop Song category in the April 2014
Music Genre nominations.
