Game Of Thrones Star Thomas Brodie-Sangster Continues His Collaboration With Indie-Rock Trio The Luka State
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Be Sharp PR) Cheshire based indie-rock trio The Luka State, consisting of Conrad Ellis (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Sam Bell (Bass) and Jess Whitmore (Drums), return with their new single 'Rain' due for digital release via Project Records on 7th July 2014. The band have just revealed the video to 'Rain' on YouTube, which continues their collaboration with actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster, well known for his roles in Love Actually, Nowhere Boy and as Jojen Reed in HBO series Game of Thrones.

Brodie-Sangster told The Hollywood Reporter: "I really like the way The Luka State's videos are thought-provoking and at times a little difficult to watch. It's exciting to be a part of a music project that tries to do things a little differently […] I think my role in 'Rain', although only brief, serves to remind people that difficult issues can't just be swept under the carpet."

The Luka State's bassist Sam Bell featured alongside Brodie-Sangster in the 2009 John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, where Sam played the part of George Harrison. This encounter led Bell and Brodie-Sangster to acknowledge their shared love of music and the music video collaborations followed.

Brodie-Sangster featured in The Luka State's previous video for '30 Minute Break', which dealt with the difficult issue of domestic violence, and he is now back to play a small cameo in the latest video for their new single 'Rain', which again tackles difficult issues including isolation, depression and suicide.

The epic production of the bittersweet track 'Rain' is down to Sam Williams, who has worked with the likes of Supergrass, The Go! Team and The Noisettes. The song was written in one evening when Conrad walked home in the pouring rain after finding out about a family tragedy. From an initial sombre mood there is a lightness and comfort within the music, which is spelt out by Conrad's raspy emotive vocals, a pounding rhythm section and upbeat guitar playing. This is raw, honest rock 'n' roll.
