New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Gotham Holler) Gotham Holler, a New York City-based country music organization is sponsoring live country music events at The Way Station located at 683 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. The events will start on August 15, 2014 and will continue on the third Friday of each month. Two to three local Americana, country, and bluegrass bands will be featured each night. The events start at 8:00pm and are free to the public.
Gotham Holler is a collaboration of country musicians in the New York metro area founded by Shannon Brown, lead singer for New York country band, Trailer Radio. The Gotham Holler website allows local country bands to promote themselves by posting band information, and adding their upcoming performances to the Gotham Holler country music calendar at no cost.
"Country music is not just for hillbillies and rednecks anymore. There are many country music fans right here in the NYC area," Shannon explains. "Gotham Holler's mission is to shine a light on talented local country bands in the Big Apple. We've teamed up with The Way Station to bring the finest of these local bands together for country music events that any metro-billy can enjoy!"

Sept. 19: Drina Seay (9pm), Trailer
Radio (10pm)
Oct. 17: The Chalks (8pm), Alan Lee & the Whiskey Bumps (9pm), Sean Kershaw & the New Jack Ramblers (10pm)
Bands for November, December, and January 2015 will be announced in coming weeks.
