LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Skylar Entertainment) The 4th Annual Film +
Music Social (FMS14) is pleased to announce rising country star
Lindsay Broughton as a featured artist for this year's event. FMS14 was created by Skylar Entertainment, a Canadian PR agency who will also be celebrating its 10th Anniversary at the invite only event which takes place during the Toronto International Film Festival.
"Since the festivities are to take place at the Rock N' Horse Saloon, it seemed fitting to announce a country artist as the first featured performer," says Skylar Entertainment's
Diane Foy." "I had seen
Lindsay perform live a few years back and was very impressed. With Curve
Music and Sonic Envy as Producing Partners, you can be sure that the talent at this year's event will be top level."
Country music singer/songwriter Broughton has been making waves in the Canadian music scene as the recipient of the 2013 Country
Music Association of Ontario Rising Star Award. She has had eight songs featured in the hit CBC show
Heartland and has had her songs covered by multiple artists…all before the release of her debut album.
Broughton released her self-titled EP in 2012, which rose to #1 as the top selling Canadian Country album in Canada in 2013. Now, her debut full length album, Take Me There, is due to be released this fall. Lindsay's new single and Video "
Take Me There" is at
Radio and CMT now and the song has already climbed its way into the Top 50 Country
Radio Charts.
Lindsay Broughton will also perform during CCMA Week in Edmonton, just prior to the Film and
Music Social on
September 8th.
