New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ 429 Records) Buzz is building for the release of Loudon Wainwright III's Haven't Got The Blues (Yet) which will be released on Sept 9 via 429 Records. The New Yorker just premiered the irreverently hilarious video for the single "Man & Dog" (see link below), the full album streamed was premiered last week on The Wall Street Journal's site and Pandora is streaming the album this week.
Haven't Got the Blues (Yet), the follow up to 2012's acclaimed "Older Than My Old Man Now," features fourteen original songs written by Loudon, and was produced by his long-time musical collaborator David Mansfield, who also backed Loudon on 2010's Grammy-winning "High Wide & Handsome-The Charlie Poole Project." The new album also features banjo master Tony Trischka, saxophonist Steve Elson, drummer Sammy Merendino and bassist Tim Luntzel. In addition, Aofie O'Donovan and Loudon's daughter Martha Wainwright lend backing vocals.
