1017 Brick Squad Founding Member Leave Brick Squad Launches New Imprint
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) One of the five original founders of Brick Squad Records, Queens, New York rapper, Greg "Frenchie" Hogan, is elated to announce his independence, as he partners with Jon Gornbein and Karen Fraiberg, launching Protekted Records, a new embodiment platform for digital content.

Being the only artist signed to 1017 Brick Squad living outside of Atlanta, Frenchie frequently traveled between Atlanta and New York, working with Gucci Mane, and his blood cousin Waka Flocka. Frenchie's allegiance to Gucci Mane, goes as far back to the So Icy Entertainment days, under the management of his aunt, Waka's mother, Debra Antney. Frenchie's patience and commitment to Gucci and Waka allowed him time to develop as an artist, and to add value to his resume, by delivering Nicki Minaj and French Montana to his aunt Debra. Over the years, under Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka, Frenchie gained a wealth of experience operating within the Independent Music structure. "I feel confident with my decision to become my own boss. I watched Gucci. I watched his progression, and how he developed the 1017 Brick Squad brand, the artists, and the label, to where it is today. Global." Frenchie

President of Protekted Records, Frenchie received huge support from former labelmtaes and mentors, Waka Flocka and GUCCI MANE. "I'm behind Frenchie one hundred percent. As far as I'm concerned, it's 1017 Protekted." GUCCI MANE. CEO of Protekted Records, Jon Gornbein, is a world-class percussionist who performed with Kid Rock on his best selling CD, eleven times platinum, "Devil without a Cause". Jon is a concrete pillar in the Detroit urban music scene, with exceptional ear for new talent. CFO, Karen Fraiberg, shares a wealth of corporate and financial experience with Frenchie, to ensure the success of Protekted Records. "I will be go above and beyond and give one hundred and fifty percent to Frenchie, to help him obtain goals the he never thought were achievable," said Kare.n

On September 2, Protekted Records entered into an agreement with Empire Distribution, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, for the release of the "FUKK FAME" EP. The pulse pounding Anthem "Aint goin Nowhere", is scheduled for release on October 14, 2014.
