Elektra Records Signs The Moth & The Flame; Debut Album Set For 2015 Release
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Elektra Records) Elektra Records has announced The Moth & The Flame as the newest members of its legendary roster. Acclaimed for their highly energetic shows, the Provo, Utah alternative rock band has released a live performance video of their fan-favorite track "Sorry" to herald the exciting news. The video made its premiere yesterday on Billboard.com and is streaming now at their official YouTube channel:.

"We're excited to join the roster of Elektra Records," says The Moth & The Flame frontman Brandon Robbins. "The label's history is filled with culture-defining artists that have inspired us individually and collectively. There's a great creative spirit there that we all immediately recognized and wanted to be a part of."

"The Moth & The Flame command the live stage and home speakers with equal fervor," says Elektra President Jeff Castelaz. "Their songs encapsulate the fever and frailty of human emotion in a way that appeals to me as a music advocate. For that reason, I'm extremely proud to make them the newest member of the Elektra family."

The Moth & The Flame is currently applying final strokes to its eagerly awaited label debut album, collaborating with such top producers as Peter Katis (The National, Interpol), Tony Hoffer (M83, Beck), and Nate Pyfer (Parlor Hawk, Fictionist). As-yet-untitled, the collection is slated for release in 2015 and sure to secure the The Moth & The Flame's place as one of the most exciting new bands of the year -- for updated news and information, please visit www.themothandtheflamemusic.com.

Founded in the high desert of Provo, Utah but currently based in Los Angeles, The Moth & The Flame -- singer/guitarist Brandon Robbins, keyboardist/vocalist Mark Garbett, and former Imagine Dragons drummer Andrew Tolman -- arrived in 2011 and quickly earned devoted fans and critical acclaim for their brand of lush, atmospheric rock. NPR's "All Songs Considered" hailed the band's creative intertwining of compelling music and strong visuals. NYLON praised the band's 2013 "&," describing it as "a layered, complex collection of rock songs that probably has Chris Martin wishing he came up with them himself." UK's The Guardian proclaimed the aforementioned "Sorry" to be "as brilliant as Flaming Lips, by which we mean it has the brightness, the sheer surface dazzle, of the Lips' best music."

An engaging live outfit, The Moth & The Flame has also spent considerable time on the road, most recently alongside longtime friends Imagine Dragons and The Naked And Famous. Additionally, they've headlined countless shows and made standout festival appearances at such international gatherings as Austin's South By Southwest (SXSW) and the UK's The Great Escape.
