Man With The Mirror: Paul Maged Rages Against Society's Ills On New Diamonds & Demons Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Independent Music Promotions) Independent Music Promotions today announced the September 23 release of Diamonds & Demons, the biting new full-length album by New York City's Paul Maged. Diamonds & Demons, recorded at Nightlife Productions in NYC and produced by multi-platinum producer Sean Gill, is what Maged calls his "heartfelt social commentary" on a wide range of issues, including climate change, human warfare, and religion. Often compared to social-minded songwriters such as Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, and Elvis Costello, Maged will make Diamonds & Demons and his debut record, In My Time,
available on his official site.

Inspired by classic rockers such as Springsteen and Billy Joel, as well as modern indie rockers like The Shins, Maged's songs flow with great energy, diversity, and most notably, relevance. Lyrically the songs are purposeful: there is an intense exploration of modern society and Maged's own struggles within it. The vocals are delivered with urgency and an edge, thus breathing story and life into each and every song.

Maged studied music at the Boston Conservatory and then attended the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NewYork. He appeared in several independent films during the past decade, including the festival award winner Bobby G. Can't Swim. Maged also performed stand-up comedy throughout the Northeast.

After his father unexpectedly passed away, Maged began writing the songs that would make up his first record, In My Time. One of the album's songs, "Falling Down," appeared multiple times on MTV's long running show Think Again: Sex Myths Revealed.

In 2011, while on vacation at Cape Cod, Maged began a labor of love, writing the songs to his follow-up album, the soon-to-be released Diamonds & Demons.
