Flyleaf Release New Album 'Between The Stars' Earning Early Praise; Fall Tour Kicks Off 10/2
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On 9/16, FLYLEAF - the five-piece, multi-platinum alternative rock band - released their highly anticipated fourth studio album BETWEEN THE STARS, via Loud & Proud Records, and it's earning early accolades.

Yahoo Music's Dave DiMartino hails the band's "hard-driving rock, capably sung by May, expertly produced by Don Gilmore…" (9/16/14), while Revolver magazine's Allison Stewart raves, "…Between the Stars is tight and melodic and unrelentingly hook-driven, poppy enough in places to recall Paramore or even (on the great new single 'Set Me on Fire') a more ferocious No Doubt." (October 2014)

FLYLEAF recorded BETWEEN THE STARS' 12 songs-which are rooted in powerful vocal melodies, driving bass and drums along with bold guitar work that create a heavy, hypnotic soundscape throughout-in Los Angeles with producer Don Gilmore (Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Bullet For My Valentine, Avril Lavigne). BETWEEN THE STARS is available for purchase on iTunes HERE and Amazon HERE.

FLYLEAF—KRISTEN MAY (vocals), SAMEER BHATTACHARYA (guitars), JARED HARTMANN (guitars), PAT SEALS (bass), JAMES CULPEPPER (drums)—are gearing up for their national fall tour launching Thursday, October 2 in Waco, TX. The trek, with opening acts Ryan White and Lullwater, will hit the Gramercy Theater in New York City on Thursday, October 16 and the House of Blues in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 4 before wrapping Friday, November 7 in San Diego, CA. Tickets are on-sale now. For the full tour itinerary and more information including where to purchase tickets, visit: www.flyleafmusic.com/tour.

EARLY PRAISE FOR BETWEEN THE STARS:
"…Flyleaf has done well with replacement Kristen May (formerly of Vedera), who joined the band in late 2012 and sounds fully at home on the band's fourth album. Hard-driving rock, capably sung by May, expertly produced by Don Gilmore, and—as was the case from their earliest days—deliberately and aggressively avoiding metal clichés whenever possible. Good for them." -Dave DiMartino, YAHOO! MUSIC, September 16, 2014
"…Between the Stars is tight and melodic and unrelentingly hook-driven, poppy enough in places to recall Paramore or even (on the great new single 'Set Me on Fire"') a more ferocious No Doubt." -Allison Stewart, REVOLVER, October 2014
"Flyleaf enter a new stratosphere altogether with their majestic fourth full-length offering Between the Stars. It's heavy at all the right moments, but the songwriting advances light years, yielding some of the band's biggest anthems to date. Moreover, the instrumentation stands out as eloquently spacey and soaring, bringing a robust energy to each musical moment. Kristen May also delivers an undeniably powerful, passionate, and poetic performance throughout. Go Between The Stars with Flyleaf—it's precisely where hard rock should be heading." -Rick Florino, ARTIST DIRECT, September 4, 2014
"…Between The Stars, a tighter, harder-edged but surprisingly more hook-driven effort than their past three full-length efforts" -Joe Bosso, MUSICRADAR.COM, September 16, 2014
"…more than an alternative album, Between The Stars takes you on a sonic journey. One that tastefully fuses a heavy, hypnotic landscape with infectious pop melody." -James Wood, AXS.COM, August 27, 2014
"It is quite apparent when listening to the new album that a lot of heart and soul went into its' creation. Flyleaf truly let it all out with this album and out of the 12 songs that make up Between The Stars it was difficult to find one that wasn't up to speed… songs such as 'Thread', 'City Kids', and the albums closer 'Home' truly showcase May's ability as a singer. Her vocals echo so much emotion that the listener can literally feel the music when listening…the band has the uncanny ability to create a hard and heavy album without losing a certain level of pop sensibility that is just astounding…on Between The Stars there is sure to be a track (or more) that connects emotionally with the listener and the band has done a phenomenal job with their latest effort." -Kristyn Clarke, UNSKINNYPOP.COM, September 4, 2014

About FLYLEAF
FLYLEAF has consistently dominated the Active, Alternative and Mainstream rock charts throughout their career. They released the eponymous debut album, Flyleaf, in 2005 which went platinum and spawned the singles "I'm So Sick," "Fully Alive," and the smash "All Around Me," which sold over one million digital downloads, was a Top 20 hit at Top 40 radio and won the BMI Pop Award. Their second album Memento Mori was released in late 2009 and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard charts, featuring the singles "Again" and "Missing." Their third album New Horizons was released in late 2012. After months of touring the world with the new line-up addition of KRISTEN MAY on vocals, FLYLEAF released a new EP Who We Are in 2013 which featured the song "Something Better" with P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval on vocals. They've shared the stage with Korn, Deftones, Stone Sour, Evanescence and many more. Conscious of constantly giving back, they played special shows for American troops stationed in Afghanistan as well as Okinawa, Japan.
