New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The 18th Annual Austin Celtic Festival (ACF) returns this weekend October 18 and 19 with plenty of fun-filled events the entire family will enjoy. The largest gathering of Celts in Central
Texas is located at the Fiesta Gardens in downtown Austin, this critically acclaimed event brings together the cultural traditions of Ireland and Scotland including music, dancing, sporting events and workshops.

Donate $12 in advance online at the festival website and receive a free ticket for each donation. All proceeds benefit the Celtic Cultural Center. Tickets at the gate are $15.00 a day, children under 13 admitted for free.
The Austin Celtic Festival is proud to host some of the world's leading Celtic artists including The Karan Casey Band, the Tannahill Weavers, The StepCrew and many more. Karan Casey has long been one of the most innovative provocative and imitated voices in Irish traditional and folk music. Tannahill Weavers are one of Scotland's premier trad bands. Their diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs, and original ballads and lullabies. Liz Carroll will also perform with Jake Charron. A 2010 Grammy award nominee, Carroll is an American-born traditional Irish musician and champion fiddler. She received the
National Endowment for the Arts'

The ACF will also including many forms or traditional Celtic dancing including the
St. Thomas Episcopal
Highland Dancers, the Austin Scottish Dance Society, and Austin's number one Irish dance team the Inishfree Austin Irish Dancers. Dance workshops will also be held throughout the festival. Visit https://www.austincelticfestival.com/dance/ for more information.
In addition to the dance workshops, other workshops include music lessons such as beginning Irish guitar, hurling and gaelic football, a Macallan Scotch tasting and many more. The ACF also features events for all ages including animal displays featuring Celtic dog breeds, the Roux Crew which is an award-winning champion team of sheep herding dogs, and other dog breeds. In addition, miniature horses from Minis and
Friends (Saturday) and
Little America (Sunday) will be in the far West Field.
