New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT), Division of Tourism, presented the 2014 Governor's Tourism Award to Kicker Country Stampede at the Kansas Tourism Conference in Manhattan, Kan. The Governor's Tourism Award was established in 1983 to recognize Kansans for outstanding contributions to the travel and tourism industry and to encourage others in the tourisms industry to strive for excellence in their respective endeavors. The award is presented annually to an individual or group that demonstrates cooperation, sustainability and quality in their support of the growth of tourism in Kansas. The conference, co-sponsored by the Travel
Industry Association of Kansas, presented the award to Wayne Rouse, president, Jeff Copper, CFO, and Adrienne Hayes, operations manager.

Kicker Country Stampede offered a full-fan experience in 2014 with fun for attendees of any age. In addition to the main stage boasting the biggest names in country music, Steel Rodeo Tours provided non-stop, action packed freestyle motocross exhibitions. The Nashville Songwriters Association International Songwriters Tent featured established, as well as up-and-coming songwriters, including Lance Carpenter, Rob Northcutt Band, Tony Ramey and more. Kite's Grille & Bar Tuttleville Stage once again showcased the best local talent the Midwest has to offer, including Tim Zach & The Whiskey Bent, County Road 5, Jared Daniels Band and more. Other activities included a carnival, mouth-watering vendor food, shopping, interactive exhibits and much, much more.
