Hill House Association Hosts Boys And Girls Choir Of Harlem At Saint Paul Cathedral
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Hill House Association) The Hill Association presents the world-renowned Boys and Girls Choir of Harlem at Saint Paul Cathedral on November 7, 2014 at 7:30 pm in celebration of the 50th anniversary of providing services to residents of the city of Pittsburgh. The new Boys and Girls Choir of Harlem is returning after a five-year hiatus. The Choir is an artistically and musically inspired organization dedicated to providing inner-city youth with opportunities to become disciplined, confident, motivated and successful American artists.

The Choir has toured the globe, performing for dignitaries worldwide, including several presidents, popes and celebrities, with much of the music originating from the tradition of African American sacred music. The Boys and Girls Choir also performs music from many genres other than spiritual and gospel. Jazz, also originating from the African American music tradition, comprises a large portion of the choir's repertoire. They also sing classical choral works, pieces by modern-day composers and numbers from popular music genres.

"We are elated to bring this world-renown choir to Pittsburgh to bring the Hill House Association's 50th anniversary celebration to a rousing conclusion," says Cheryl Hall-Russell, President and CEO of Hill House Association and Hill House Economic Development Corporation. "These young musicians were invited here because they represent all that we want our young people to be—talented, committed and celebrated. We invite all of Pittsburgh to share in this evening of music and history."

The concert presents some of the finest young singers and musicians from black churches in Harlem and New York City. Every performance is enthusiastic and features not only fantastic singing, but dancing and celebrations of love, hope and inspiration.

"It is a great joy and blessing for Saint Paul Cathedral, the Mother Church of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, to collaborate with the Hill House in bringing the Harlem Boys and Girls Choir to Pittsburgh. This event speaks to the efforts of so many in our community who are working together in serving so many needs and bringing joy and hope into the hearts and lives of those we serve," said Father Kris Stubna, pastor and rector of Saint Paul Cathedral.

Tickets are $25.00 and may be purchased by going online to showclix.com or calling 888-718-4253.

Concert-goers may park in the Oakland Catholic High School lot, at Central Catholic High School, Saint Nicolas Greek Orthodox Cathedral and WQED Multimedia parking lots.
