Vintage Cinema Returns Via Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage, With Shahin Sean Solimon And Patrick Stewart, Swinging To Home VOD In December

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Set sail for the throwback adventure of the year as Giant Flick Films proudly announces 'Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage' (2014) premiering on Home VOD December 2nd, 2014.

Written, directed, and starring Persian-American actor Shahin Sean Solimon, Sinbad - narrated by the inimitable Patrick Stewart (X-Men : Days of Future Past) - is a crowd-pleasing throwback to the classic adventure yarns of yesteryear. When the Sultan's first-born daughter, Princess Parisa, is abducted by an evil sorcerer, Sinbad is tasked with traveling through a desert of magic and mythical creatures to save her. He must defeat the Cyclops, the Goliath Crab, and the legendary Rok Bird to escape with their lives.

Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage utilizes the old school 'Stop Animation" practical VFX, combined with live action, such as in the Ray Harryhausen style 'Seventh Voyage of Sinbad' movies, yet using modern day technology to enhance them.

"It's been a childhood dream of mine to be able to play this character," says Solimon, who plays Sinbad. "This is a live-action version of it - not a cartoon version of it - and it's a very serious version."

"Having an opportunity to make this film has been an unbelievable gift, and there is much more film making that we are planning to do, bringing these wonderful stories back." adds the actor and filmmaker.

Starring Shahin Sean Solimon, Patrick Stewart (X-Men, Star Trek : The Next Generation), Lorna Raver (Drag Me to Hell), Isaac C. Singleton Jr (Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl), Sadie Alexandru (TVs Mad Men), and Said Faraj (TVs 24), Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage is released on VOD December 2 and on DVD in February 2015.
