New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With a dynamic frontman, killer live chops and a reverence for iconic artists, hip new rock band Vintage Suns delivers on their upcoming, eponymous debut EP, out November 18th. The San Francisco-based foursome is young and hungry, with an aggressive rock 'n roll alchemy that's anchored in the electric guitar/drum-driven music that fueled their heroes
Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith, while at the same time embraces the melodic structures inspired by The
Beach Boys and Gin Blossoms.

Here's an exclusive Something Else! premiere of "Garbage," a video advancing the San Francisco-based Vintage Sun 's rocking new eponymous EP. Guitar-focused, yet melodic, "Garbage" heralds a five-song release that harkens back as much to
Aerosmith and
Led Zeppelin as it does to the Gin Blossoms and the Beach Boys.
Led by vocalist and guitarist Nick Tara, the Marin County rockers also include guitarist and second singer Downey Orrick, drummer Elliott Starno and bassist
David Alvarez. (Orrick takes over lead vocals on "So Sweet" from the new EP.) Though all in their early- to mid-20s, the Vintage Suns sound — which grew out of a partnership between Downey and Elliott in a previous band — is marked by a throwback reliance on flesh-and-blood sounds.
"We believe in musical proficiency and using real instruments only," they say. "No auto-tune, no computers. Just the raw ingredients of rock and roll."
The clip for "Garbage" was filmed in the
Santa Barbara area, and directed by Eryn Brydon. The Vintage Suns EP is due on November 18, 2014. An EP release performance is set for December 4, 2014, at the HopMonk Tavern in Navato, California.
They recorded at Hyde St. Studios in San Francisco, as well as a private residence in Mill Valley, California. (Clearly, they've got much cooler neighbors than we do.) Andrew Capra of Brave Citizens served as producer; Paul Logus, who has previously worked with
Anthrax and Public Enemy, mixed Vintage Suns in New York City.
