Oliver Richman: 'For Once In My Life' 50th Anniversary - Singing Prodigy Celebrates His Grandfather's Classic
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) In 1965, legendary Motown songwriter Ron Miller penned the lyrics to "For Once In My Life," which became a timeless classic covered by hundreds of major label artists over the past five decades, including its breakthrough hit recording by Stevie Wonder in 1968, which was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2009. Miller passed away in 2007.

Now, Miller's grandson, 14-year-old singer and multi-talented performer Oliver Richman (https://www.oliverrichman.com), celebrates the 50th anniversary of the song's composition and his grandfather's great legacy with a lush and intimate recording of the beloved standard.

Richman is also releasing a beautiful video for the ballad (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqPBW3z38Dc) that includes images of Ron Miller and opening narration by Richman's mother and Miller's daughter, Lisa Dawn Miller - an artist in her own right who produces (with husband Sandy Hackett) and stars in the global touring phenomenon, "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show." Miller produced the special 50th Anniversary release of "For Once In My Life."

When he was 10 years old, Richman was personally invited by Stevie Wonder to sing "One Little Christmas Tree" at his annual House Full of Toys benefit at the Nokia Theatre Live L.A. after Wonder discovered him on the internet. The song was written by Ron Miller and originally recorded by Stevie Wonder in 1967 for his one and only Christmas album, "Someday at Christmas" (also written by Miller).

Richman was a big success in "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show," recently singing "Someone To Watch Over Me" in a guest spot during the show's summer run at Theatre By The Sea in Wakefield, Rhode Island.

Ron Miller has written some of the biggest hit songs including, "For Once In My Life," "Touch Me In The Morning," "Place In the Sun," "Yester-me, Yester-you, Yesterday," "Heaven Help Us All," "I've Never Been to Me," "Someday at Christmas" and "If I Could."
