Songwriter Dave Fidler Will Be 'Taking Over' With New Single
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Based in the North West of England but with the roots driven country soul of the USA's deep south, Dave Fidler is a songwriter who puts a contemporary spin on the traditions of country-folk. With influences including Bob Dylan, Tommy Emmanuel and Peter Green, his style is defined by his unique vocal and intricate slide guitar with superb finger picking and country touches.

For a sneak preview of the single, and a show of his superb dexterity on the acoustic guitar, check out the track on Soundcloud:

Produced by Sam Jones (Alex Turner, Corrinne Bailey Rae) and John Bramwell of I Am Kloot, the full album promised to be packed full of top quality tunes like this from a very talented songwriter indeed. Dave Fidler is already building an excellent reputation among some of the top cult bands in the industry, and with further singles on the way he looks likely to continue in that vein.

He has already toured with and supported the likes of John Bramwell (I Am Kloot), who describes Fidler as "absolutely brilliant", Little Mammoths (Noah & the Whale), Simone Felice (Felice Brothers), Kathryn Williams and David Ford. He has also been featured several times by key tastemaker Tom Robinson of BBC Radio 6 Music and recently played alongside Gomez, Badly Drawn Boy, Turin Brakes, Tim Burgess and Dodgy at Manchester's Whisky Sessions festival.

His songs are a real blend of ideas, mostly taking in relatable themes like love, loss and birth. Within the course of a year before his upcoming album was written, Dave Fidler's father passed away, he got married and welcomed a new son to the world - it's little wonder his music has plenty to say.

He also has plenty to offer alongside his song writing: running a music school and charity teaching primary aged children to learn popular instruments and supporting children overseas to go through school education.

It's all very impressive work, and with a barge tour of the UK in the works as well as a potential prisons tour, Dave Fidler could well be playing near you soon!
