Enigmatic Rock Upstarts Within Rust Issue Studio Update For Upcoming LP With Producer Travis Saunders
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) After 30 shows in the last six months that included a summer tour in the States and participating in 99.3 FM The Fox's 'Seeds' indie showcase competition, Vancouver, BC's WITHIN RUST has issued the following studio update on recording their upcoming yet to be titled debut full length with producer Travis Saunders (Secret and Whisper, Young Sparrows, Jess Penner).

"For our debut we're really shooting for a rebirth of sorts as we aren't the same band that burst on to the local Vancouver circuit back in 2012. We've been on the road and we've figured out how to write the music we always thought we were writing, things have gone in a really mature, but bizarre direction. Travis is sort of a local legend and he's got a mad genius way about him so I'm really excited to see what he gets out of us." comments lead vocalist/ keyboardist Nolen Scott.

Within Rust are four guys who started in a Vancouver suburb garage in 2012 blending progressive with alternative rock to write moody and dark, angry and fast, desperate and lost— loveable bipolar songs. Their tracks such as "Rorschach", a clear ode to 90's post-hardcore a la At The Drive In along with "The Taking", a Killers-esque indie track with a nod to Pink Floyd plus an Ok Computer-era Radiohead sensibility with some Rush added to the mix, serves fans with a strange but accessible sonic cocktail not to be missed.
