Thirteenth Annual Latino Trendsetter Awards Announced
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Thirteenth Annual Latino Trendsetter Awards, a benchmark celebration, will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015. Commencing with a private red carpet VIP reception, attended by awardees, influencers and media from 6:00p.m.to 7:00 p.m.at BarThalia, within The Symphony Space Theater, located at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, NY 10025, followed by the awards program and show, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a live performance by Grammy winner Tito Nieves. Event will be Co-Hosted by LatinTRENDS Jan/Feb Cover personality and Plus size model Denise Bidot and Actor, JW Cortes.

The #LatinoTrendsetter Awards is produced by LatinTRENDS and sponsored in part by; CUNY, Spanish Broadcasting System, La Mega 97.9 &Amor 93.1 and Hennessy. The event celebrates excellence and recognizes leaders in business, education, entertainment, art, health, technology and community service, while acknowledging the communities' contributions to popular culture.

The Latino Trendsetter Awards Recipients are the true stars of the community. They inspire a new generation.

In its 13th year, the award recognizes people as leaders...trendsetters in their respective fields and it is on-point with LatinTRENDS' Magazine mission of inspiring a new generation of forward thinking men and women. It is also an inspirational platform that serves the community's needs of hearing and sharing positive real life success stories from members of the community. This year, the event will take place at the Symphony Space Theater. The awards program will have an entertainment value, which will incorporate a culturally relevant program of Latin culture, expressed through theater, music and dance. The awards show will close with a live performance by Grammy winner Tito Nieves.

The 2015 Award recipients are: Lorraine Cortés-Vásquez, EVP Multicultural Director for Multicultural Markets & Engagement, AARP; Seny Tavares, Executive Director, CUNY In The Heights; Frank Galarza, professional boxer and youth activist; Hector D. Ruiz, Regional Sales Manager, US Latin America, Delta; Lynda Baquero, consumer reporter, NBC4 New York; Vanessa Gonzalez Plumhoff, Director of Latino Leadership and Engagement, Planned Parenthood Federation of America; Daisy Auger-Dominguez, Vice President, Talent Acquisition and Organization& Workforce Diversity, Disney, ABC Television Group; Eric Garcia, Radio Revenue Chief, Spanish Broadcasting System, La Mega &Amor; Tony Jimenez, President & CEO, MICROTECH; Maria Amor, Vice President of Formulatin; Anthony Lolli, Founder & CEO, Rapid Realty NYC, and special Live it Award to: Nemesio Ortiz, Vice President of Medicare Sales, Healthfirst, for his contribution to the communities well being through proper medical care and health insurance.

Continuing the tradition of awarding Scholarships to deserving students, who will be tomorrow's trendsetters. This year's Scholarship receipts are: Danitsa Andaluz, sophomore at Macaulay Honors College at Lehman College and Nicole Lopez, freshman at John Jay College, they are also enrolled in a leadership program in the 100 Hispanic Women organization.

Additionally, LatinTRENDS will present a special award to a top New York blogger making striking contributions to the community. Nominations will close on January 20th and the winner will be announced during the awards show.
