Brooklyn Academy Of Music Presents Performing Artist Lachi On January 31, 2015
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "Graced with a distinctive, soaringly expressive voice, singer-songwriter Lachi performs empowering pop anthems with contagiously catchy hooks and irresistible dance beats. Having overcome blindness to become an Independent Music Awards
nominee, Lachi's infectiously upbeat songs spread a universal message of positivity." - BAM

"Lachi put on an incredibly entertaining set..exuding confidence on stage with a powerful vocal" states Demi a Columbia Records A&R rep who caught Lachi's late mid December performance at the Lower East Side's Bitter End. Award nominated soul-infused Pop songwriter and published author, Lachi's resume includes features on Oprah Radio, CBS Radio, MTV.com, CW, the E! and Style Networks, independent films and documentaries, including a very recent slew of placements on Oxygen's popular Bad Girls Club. Also recently Lachi secured a book deal with Library Tales publishing for her latest novel.

Having opened for Patti LaBelle at a Pridefest, and recently sharing the stage with Gary Nesta Pine of the Wailers at a Gibson Showroom CMJ Showcase, Lachi's band returns to grace Brooklyn Academy of Music's BAM Cafe Series, 9pm Saturday January 31, 2015, where, in the past, she opened for Questlove of the Roots.

BAM is Brooklyn's historic cultural and multi-arts center. For more than 150 years, BAM has been the home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas—engaging both global and local communities alike. With world-renowned programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and much more, BAM showcases the work of emerging artists and innovative modern masters to include emerging songstress Lachi.
