MIAMI, FL. (www.hsan.org)
WHO: Multi-platinum superstar hip-hop artist/producer Missy Elliott

WHAT: After 33 days and 26 cities in 10 states on the road, The Hip-Hop Team Vote GOTV Bus Tour, a national joint effort by HSAN and America Coming Together (ACT) to increase youth voter turnout in the presidential election, tomorrow November 2nd, the southern Bus will pick up youth from all over the Miami area and take them to the polls. Missy Elliott will get on the Hip-Hop Team Vote GOTV Bus and drive with some of the kids to a polling place where she will encourage young people to stay in line and remain motivated to place their votes.

Elliott's work on Election Day is the continuing work of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network to empower young people - the hip-hop generation - to make a difference by voting. Organized by Russell Simmons and Dr. Benjamin Chavis, the process over the past 17 months has included 26 Hip-Hop Summits where hundreds of thousands of new voters were registered. The Hip-Hop Team Vote GOTV Tour in the last 33 days held bus stop rallies, GOTV training sessions, community canvassing, town hall meetings and university campus mobilization events in a grass roots campaign involving the participation of BET, MTV and urban radio stations in each market.

In true hip-hop fashion, DJS and artists participated in various cities including the likes of Russell Simmons, Reverend Run, P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Damon Dash, Doug E. Fresh, Styllion, J-Kwon, Wyclef Jean, Tyson Beckford, Danny Glover, Omarosa Manigault Stallworth, Remy Martin, Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, 8-ball & MJG, Freeway, Peedi Cr! akk, Nick Cannon, Loon, Luke Skywalker, and Mr. Cheeks.

WHERE: Arcola Park, Precinct 252, 1680 NW 87 Street; Miami, FL; 33147
Bus will pull up in front of polling center.

WHEN: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2004. Press should arrive at 3 p.m.
