NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts) Americana country legend Moe Bandy has quite the respect and admiration for Songwriter Hall of Fame member Whitey Shafer. Throughout his career, Moe has cut 33 Whitey Shafer songs. In fact, Moe's first five hit singles were penned by the beloved tunesmith. Moe humbly says, "I know I wouldn't be where I am today if Whitey hadn't come to Music Row. I think he's one of the best songwriters there is." Some of Moe's noteworthy accomplishments are 10 Number One smashes, 40 Top Ten hits, 66 charted releases, 5 Gold albums and ACM/CMA Duet of the Year.

Moe Bandy proudly states, "This is going to be the biggest traditional country music show Nashville has seen in a long time. Our lineup is just unbelievable!"

The lineup includes Moe Bandy (host), Joe Stampley, Becky Hobbs, T. Graham Brown, Gene Watson, Johnny Lee, Jeannie Seely, Gary Morris, David Frizzell, Dallas Frazier, Eddy Raven, Jett Williams, John Conlee, Jimmy Fortune, Leona Williams, Lane Brody, William Michael Morgan, James Carothers, Moore & Moore, Teea Goans, the Rhodes Family Singers and the list continues to grow.

About Whitey Shafer:
Whitey Shafer and childhood hero Lefty Frizzell were not only best friends, they became a co-writing duo to be reckoned with. Together, they penned the country standards "That's the Way Love Goes," "I Never Go Around Mirrors," Moe Bandy's "Bandy The Rodeo Clown," among many others. Shafer went on to write some of the most momentous country songs of the last four decades, including "I Just Started Hatin' Cheatin' Songs Today" (Moe Bandy), "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind" (George Strait), "All My Ex's Live in Texas" (George Strait) and "I Wonder Do You Think of Me" (Keith Whitley), and his tribute to his friend, "Lefty's Gone" (George Strait). Of late, Shafer has suffered from a lung disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
