New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On April 28, 2015, Motéma Music will release Stop Time, the label debut of acclaimed singer/songwriter and pianist Jon Regen. The album was produced by Mitchell Froom (Crowded House, Paul McCartney), and features Davey Faragher and Pete Thomas from Elvis Costello and the Imposters.
Recently, The Wall Street Journal premiered the album's first single, "I Will Wait," calling it "a breezy pop tune built around Regen's rolling piano chords and pleasantly rumpled voice. He's a confident, soulful singer who steers the melody with ease..."
Jon Regen was also recently featured in Tape Op and and Electronic Musician Magazine.
On May 5th, Regen will celebrate the release of the album with a special release show at SubCulture in New York City where he will be backed by Davey Faragher and Pete Thomas of Elvis Costello's Imposters. Following an east coast and European tour, Regen will perform at the prestigious Rochester International Jazz Festival alongside Gary Clark Jr., Kat Edmonson, Diana Krall, Steep Canyon Rangers and many more.
