Ivan & Alyosha To Release New Album "It's All Just Pretend" On May 4, 2015
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Seattle quintet Ivan & Alyosha will release their sophomore album It's All Just Pretend on May 4th. Featuring 11 new songs overflowing with infectious melodies, thoughtful lyrics, rich vocal harmonies and timeless pop sensibilities, the album has already been embraced by tastemaker radio stations and publications. Relix writes, "Those hoping for an immediate aural connection will find It's All Just Pretend to be a very real deal." No Depression similarly applauds, "It's a brilliantly dynamic record, equal parts glammy, noisy, rootsy, and melodic." The album was produced and engineered by Ryan Carbary, Joe Chiccarelli (U2, My Morning Jacket) and Chad Copelin.

The album's lead single "All This Wandering Around" was recently featured as KCRW's Today's Top Tune and seen airplay on Triple A stations across the country, including WXRT (Chicago), WRLT (Nashville) KEXP (Seattle), KINK (Portland), WXPN (Philadelphia) and KGSR (Austin).

The band most recently released the album's second single, "Bury Me Deep". The song premiered via The A.V. Club who writes, "Catchy and anthemic, the track is a lovely way to kick off the last week of March."

Ivan & Alyosha have also announced new dates for their spring tour, which will kickoff with a hometown concert at Neumos, followed by performances in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville and Washington, DC. They also recently performed live for WXRT's Opening Day Broadcast in Chicago on April 5th. They will soon be heading to Los Angeles for a live session on KCRW's signature music program Morning Becomes Eclectic. View full tour dates below.

It's All Just Pretend is the follow up to the band's acclaimed 2013 debut LP All The Times We Had. The album received great support from the press, including NPR Music, Filter, American Songwriter, Paste Magazine and USA Today, who said, "[a] sound as filled with hope as it is harmony. These songs are sheer joy, from their melodic surface to deep inside their lyrical core."

Ivan & Alyosha is: Tim Wilson (lead vox, guitar), Ryan Carbary (guitar, piano). Tim Kim (guitar), Pete Wilson (bass) and Cole Mauro (drums).
