Bahamian Rap Group Releases New Music Video 'Getaway'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes presents the release of the "Getaway" Music Video by Da Gittens Boyz. This video is currently available to view on the Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes wesbsite.

'Da Gittens Boyz' is the current name of the new born rap group from the Bahamas. Also known as 'DGB', this group consists of 2 brothers Latrell Gittens (Tunda) 28 & Michael Gittens (T'O) 25. Growing up, Tunda and T'O played the snare and bass drum in the church band and also sang in the children's choir. They would harmonize and make riddles of there own, which caused their love for music to grow tremendously. Tunda began composing music on the computer with a software back then commonly known as 'Fruityloops'. As time went on they formed a group in high school then known as 'Da All StarzZ'. 'DAS' was a 4 man group that took off with a mixtape track called "Flip flopz". The success of this track opened doors on the radio locally, also giving them the opportunity to perform at the Hip Hop Power Summit in The Bahamas. However due to issues with management things fell through, but from that moment on they were permanently inspired to make rap a lifetime career.

On August 5th 2009, landing another opportunity to perform in North Carolina with Market America, the 3 group membership single "Welcome to Bahamas" lit up the airways but things took a turn causing the group to split due to personal differences. The brothers took a 2 year break away from music but with some spiritual reevaluation and a passion for music they returned as a duo bringing forth Da Gittens Boyz. This led to a much anticipated come back where they released their new hit single, the remake of Labi Siffre, "Something inside" featuring Dano. This was the beginning of a New Road. This then prompted them to release a single off their new mix-tape 'M&M' (Much & More) named 'Get Away'. Da Gittens Boyz received great feedback on local radio they decided to create a music video at home in the Bahamas, which earned them 3rd spot on the Beat100 charts. Now their currently promoting their Much&More original mix-tape, but it doesn't stop there. DGB is always up to creating new music! and with a brand like "BigMinds" its clear they got big things ahead for them in the near future.
